Re: Redskins pick 4th in the draft
Troy Aikman had a good pro career...for the purposes of my argument I'm counting him as a Sooner QB even though he transferred to UCLA

LOL, pre-Stoops doesn't count. I miss the wishbone, it was fun to run.

Hardy Har Har. Thanks! I ran the wishbone once and hated every minute of it. Most of the teams that I played on afer that ran a version of the I and evolving variations of it. The I was our base formation in high school, but like the NFL we could come out with up to 5 WR sets. I miss the memories of my playing days, but in no way would I want to strap it on now. |

I'm with you. When you're still sore on a Thursday from a Sunday game, it's time to hang 'em up and pick up the whiteboard. Getting old sucks.

It hurts me just thinking about it. Sean Taylor said it best "Playing a kids game for a kings ransom". I played the game but never got the ransome. |

Re: Redskins pick 4th in the draft
So I've been following McShay, and he thinks now that Anthony Davis, the Tackle from Rutgers is better or could pass Russell Okung come draft time, so skins fans who want okung and think we don't have a shot at getting him, theres still a good chance we could get him or this Davis kid, who they say can play guard if needed. Also Bryan Bulauga from Iowa, they say is not a LT in the nfl, and he's more of a guard or RT, so I think we could probably scratch him off our list.

Re: Redskins pick 4th in the draft
I didn't get to play on those Sundays either. I would've paid the ransom just to be able to play on real Sundays.

Re: Redskins pick 4th in the draft
There's this guard from Idaho that's top ranked.. You should see this monster. I'd even draft this guy in the second round he's so nasty. Iupati I think is the name...

Re: Redskins pick 4th in the draft
A trade back scenario that will probably never happen:
Trade with Patriots, Redkins give up our 1st this year, plus Santana Moss and/or Carlos Rogers. Pats give up their 1st this year, AND the 2011 1st that they got from the RAIDERS in for R. Seymore. Surely it would take more picks to smooth it out, but The goal would be to come away with two quality lineman this year, then next year be in a position to draft Jake Locker, (the next Elway), plus an elite Left Tackle next year, via our own 2011 1st that will probably be pretty high. The Pats could get Gerald McCoy this year with our pick to replace Seymore, and have Santana replace the injured, and possibly done, Wes Welker. We have to trust that the Raiders will suck next year, a longshot, but we could have, two top five picks next year. It's going to take a while to rebuild this team, let's face it. |
