True, if you WANT to be promiscuous, don't get married. Agreed. But isn't it entirely possible that Tiger had no intentions to cheat on his wife? Isn't it possible that he still loves her? I just don't like the judgement being hurled at Woods like he's the scum of the earth all of a sudden. Yes, it's a horrible thing to be unfaithful to your spouse - it really is. But it's amazing to me how he's fallen from grace in the eyes of so many because of infidelity and a moral weakness. I am in no way trying to demean or undermine the instition of marriage by my reasoning, because I'm not. I just don't appreciate how he's being demonized and judged - especially when we don't live in Tiger Woods' shoes. |

I don't think Tiger Woods is a bad human being. His charities have been fantastic, and he's done a ton of good on and off the golf course. But he has his demons (a wandering eye to say the least) clearly. I'm not trying to demonize the man, but come on 12th. You don't like the way he's being judged? The most famous athlete possibly of all time has just been nailed for ongoing, premeditated infidelity and lies. You really think he should be above reproach? I certainly haven't heard him called the scum of the earth, but this is cause (and rightfully so) for his character to be questioned.

I can sit here until I'm blue in the face and declare every romantic platitude and make every vow to my wife in the world and still fail one day. I don't know what it's like to be rich, powerful, have influence and perhaps lonely. I don't mean to overanalyze this, but it's mighty convenient to throw granades from the sideline and tell the dude in the heat of the moment, don't eff this up. I'm done with this one. |

Anyway, I agree that the whole situation sucks, and it's a shame that privacy doesn't really exist any more. I've always been a huge Tiger Woods fan. I wish him and his family nothing but the best moving forward. I hope they make it.

I think it's pretty obvious he's been cheating for quite a while. Sorry I really don't feel sorry for him. All this while his wife was prego no less. That makes it pretty easy for me to call him a scumbag.

How many of you out there have friends that have cheated on their wives??? Cause just about all of my married friends have done something at some point. It's just a part of life. People get sick of one another. Not saying it's right cause it's not but it's just how it is. We see it over and over and over again with high profile people as well as the eveyday working man/women.

if you don't intend to stay faithful then why get married. i recently got engaged because i know i want this one person for the rest of my life and i know i will not cheat on her. you can say people grow apart and "get sick of one another" but when that happens you act like an adult and tell the person. you don't go behind their back banging trashy reality stars.

Well I feel like those are continuous stories that have an underlying relevance at all times. Tiger's affairs are big news right now but it will fade away in a few days

Tiger affairs are only important to a society circling the drain to moral bankruptcy. When was the last time you saw this type of resource devoted to generating something positive? Why not? Because we don't give a sh..
I do not blame the media. If it were not of....Paramount importance to us, they would have no market to peddle it?

re: Tiger Asks for Mulligan; Promises to Keep Driver in Bag
I don't think TW will be hanging out with Parnevik anytime soon and here is some of his comments.
"Maybe not just do it, like Nike says," Parnevik said Wednesday after finishing first-round play at the PGA Tour's final-stage of qualifying being held at Bear Lakes Country Club. They introduced the pair, something Parnevik now sounds like he regrets. "I would be especially sad about it since I'm kind of -- I feel really sorry for Elin -- since me and my wife were at fault for hooking her up with him," Parnevik said. "We probably thought he was a better guy than he is. I would probably need to apologize to her and hope she uses a driver next time instead of the 3-iron." |
