you said it.
should we deliberately lose games this year (or trade away MORE picks to get lower in the draft) so we can take the best DE next year and HOPE he doesnt't hold out and then HOPE he works in the NFL?? Ogunleye doesn't think he's Jevon Kear$e, he just wants more than a one year contract at league minimum! we've done good trading away our picks, because we know what we are getting. Ogunleye is a solid player with a solid character. its really a no brainer, and apparently the Skins thought so too cuz its been mentioned. keep the pressure on Danny! |

The Dolphins have obviously offered him much more than the minimum... The $ your seeing is the tender amount necessary to keep his rights. He started out asking for more than he's worth.

They offered him a multi-year. Just not for what he's asking.

how was the deal? and how much more was he asking? obviously his value in Miami's great defensive's line is alot different than for a team with a question mark defensive line...

ive read him saying he doesnt think hes Kearse. Hell id say hes better than kearse because kerse is always injured. He did lead the AFC in sacks last year.
THis is what it comes down to, games are won on the line of scrimage. Whoever wins that line of scrimage wins the game. You dotn need a elite HB is you have a great oline, and you dont need elite corners if you have a great dline. We cant blitz our linebackers on everyplay to try and create pressure if the QB is picking apart our passing game. We have to be able to get pressure on the QB, which is somethign I havent seen since i was a child in DC. Gettin A.O. would but a huge upgrade that could completly change how our games our played next year.

heh, is that him or his agent talking? of course he's worth more anywhere else, and he's seeking that kind of money, but i wonder what he'd really sign for in order to get out of that situation.

I don't want to hear any more talk about Gardner or Smoot these guys are true REDSKINS. Gardner is one of the most under rated receivers in the league. Who better to throw to when Coles is double covered. He will probably have a 1000 yard year.

looks like I just found the conclusion to the Boston Argument.
"Dolphins WR David Boston has reportedly suffered depth-perception problems the past two seasons. The cause? Colored contact lenses. It seems that the enigmatic Boston wore contacts colored red, purple or blue as a fashion statement. It took Dolphins WR coach Jerry Sullivan and trainer Kevin O'Neill to alert him to the problem. After wearing clear contacts in Miami's most recent minicamp, Boston admitted that he was picking the ball up quicker."

great toss up for a footbal player: fashion statement with my eye color or seeing clearly, playing well, and not being a dope. Not only is that kinda strange, but who really pays attention to the eye color of a dude wearing a helmet with a face mask on? I mean seriously come on, I knew the guy had some maturity problems but this sounds more like "he's been hit upside the head too many times" type problems. |

Back to Ogunleye for just a moment
from Lenny P Washington officials deny they have made an offer to Miami for restricted free agent defensive end Adewale Ogunleye, who remains unsigned and in a state of impasse on contract negotiations, but the Redskins are closely monitoring the situation. Owner Dan Snyder and agent Drew Rosenhaus have worked several deals in the past couple years. |
