Re: Fresh Start Political Thread

This hold up on the infrastructure deal is a perfect example of the bullshit in D.C. Always trying to sneak in other stuff into a bill that has nothing to do with what the bill is actually for. Then if someone doesn't vote for it, they hate America.

This is even worse, a group of the left won't pass one bill altogether, because they want a completely different, way more expensive bill passed first. That's just wrong.

I'm sorry, blaming the right or Sinema/Manchin for the infrastructure bill not being passed, is not arguing in good faith imo.

Pass the damn infrastructure bill. It would be a huge piece of bipartisan legislation and a win for Biden. Then after the bill is passed, try to work on the other one. Then you can pile on McConnell, republicans, Manchin, Sinema, all you want about why they won't pass that bill.

Trumps tax breaks and reckless spending is why we need to raise the damn debt ceiling. He would have bankrupt the damn country in four more years like he did with his own money countless times. Gotta pay your debt , but the man was a self proclaimed “lover of debt”. Cus it isn’t his money. Come on man. This is such hypocrisy from the right it is grotesque.

Trump did spend way too much money. This is why I finally decided to re-register. I was hoping someone with a business side would be better. In hindsight, Mr. Bankruptcy was never going to reduce the debt. I don't recall Trump or republicans every talking about a budget or the debt while he was president, well before COVID was ever a thing.

Of course Biden is going to spend even more, Obama spent tons, Bush Jr. spent tons, etc. It's easy spending other people's money. Hell, even Reagan greatly expanded the national debt.

Agreed with all of this BUT it has always been somewhat of a joint effort. Trump on the other hand will take zero responsibility and since he is holding the GOP hostage and his cult is incapable of placing fault with him it becomes a partisan and political knot. That to me is what is so frustrating. I could live with the old school back n forth while everyone was doing the same thing. I cannot live with the deep rooted hypocrisy and the fuckin spell that Trump has over people like Chico who either do not understand what is going on or dont care as long as their guy isn’t held accountable. It is infuriating.

Listen to SD if not me Chico. He is actually being real about this issue. U, as a Trumper, will just default to “oh sure blame Trump” as if he has nothing to do with the position we are in. You’re killing me and im way too busy to play this game with you right now. As usual Trump gets us into a jam and you and Mitch cheer for him, now Biden has to fix it and u and Mitch are hiding in the bushes playing amnesia games.

You did post a complaint about Trump spending recklessly (Which he did in fact do). Does that mean you now oppose Biden and the Progressives plans to spend even more recklessly?

If Biden gives a tax break to the super wealthy I will absolutely have a problem with it.
Me and you I am sure have different ideas on what money should be allocated too. Lol.

Gerrit Cole should be taxed at 100% after that performance.

He wants to do that with his plan to rescind the SALT tax limits.

I like the plans but not the cost. I do think it's funny that you make it try to sound worse when you say "even more recklessly", funny shit right there.

This needs a c'mon man response. Trying to make it sound worse???? It is worse by several orders of magnitude. 2 years ago I'd bet you were thinking the Green new deal was an insane proposal. Well this is the Green new deal and yes it is still insane. 3.5 Trillion in new spending, most of which are entitlements (Show me an entitlement that has ever been rescinded). This pushes our spending which was already way too high to above WWII spending levels, it also pushes the US above the spending level Greece indulged in prior to their bankruptcy.

Because the environment is last on the list of what is important? Like I said earlier your idea if reckless spending and mine are different. Saving the planet is a bigger issue than anything. You would think that would be something that everyone can get on board with?
