Re: Giants vs Skins Pregame Thread
Unless you've time traveled forward to Nov. 30, the Giants haven't played the Jags yet. They beat Houston, the team that beat us in week 1.

Re: Giants vs Skins Pregame Thread
The defense should have every Redskins fan worried. Can only hope that short week and home field advantage leads to communication problems which allows front seven to get to Eli, otherwise it is going to be a long night. I am diehard Skins fan, and like the other poster, who mentioned the Jan 1987 playoff lose against the G-men, still remember those games. It is a huge game, if I were a betting man, I'd bet on the Giants, typically the Redskins have not won these 'must win games' the only exception being that glorious 7 game stretch in 2012.

Re: Giants vs Skins Pregame Thread
Break the curse: Skins 35, Giants 10.
Keep on truckin' with absolute shit play in prime-time: Giants 27, Redskins 24. Skins tie the game with 1:00 minute left, give up big return on kickoff, defense stands tough at 50 yard line, 4th and 13, Eli RUNS for the first down, time out, FG as time expires (which will be longest of their kicker's career). Andre Ellington career high rushing yards (since he's a rookie who hasn't done much yet). That's the cynical me. Optimistic me says and believes we crush them tomorrow night. We remind them they're the new doormat of the NFCE.

Re: Giants vs Skins Pregame Thread
I think the Skins win this baby, but I hope Cousins does really, really well. I was able to pick him up off waivers in FF, and am thinking about starting him over Rodgers against the Bears. For some reason NFL.com has Rodgers almost doubling Kirk's points for this week. I just don't see this reasoning. They must think that Kirk is going to come back to earth tomorrow night.

Your just a week late. This would have been a perfect formula last week before the Eagles game though. |

Re: Giants vs Skins Pregame Thread
I'm still nervous about this game because of all our injuries, but I'll assume most of the questionable guys play and predict a win...
27-23, Redskins. Cousins and the passing game struggle a little against the Giants' good corners, but Morris plays well and the defense has a solid effort against a mediocre Giants offense to make up. I predicted a special teams TD for Roberts last week, and it will happen eventually, so what better time than in a close division game? Breeland gives everyone a bigger man-crush than they already have with a few big pops and perhaps a turnover or two. I hope the team doesn't push Hatcher too hard if he plays. Losing him for a long time would be a death blow, in my opinion... especially with Hall already out. 2-1 in my pre-game thread predictions this season. Hopefully that 2 becomes a 3 after this game. |

Re: Giants vs Skins Pregame Thread
I agree about Hatcher. Its hard to hold him out if he thinks he can go, but rather see him sit this one and get two solid weeks of rest them see him do more damage to it in this one. That sentiment is because I think our d will play well enough to stop the giants. Probably best is to get an early good lead then pull him out.
