Ok, so not sure if any of you have seen this yet. lol. I like it personally. Maybe we can wear more white in our uniforms also. lol. Hey, if they don't want a NFL football team to rep them then lets use another race to rep. lol.

Ha, ha, I clicked on the link on the last site:

Uni Watch » What Do You Mean ‘We,’ Paleface?

The article is funny and the Q&A is even more funny. It's ok for Utah and FL State to use their names. It's ok for the Vikings to use that and the Fighting Irish.

If a team name like Indians is bad, what about a team name like Vikings?
That’s apples and oranges. The Vikings were not a victimized class subjected to genocide, theft of their land, etc. The issue here, at least from my perspective, isn’t about ethnic stereotyping; it’s about systematically destroying a culture and then using that culture’s imagery as if it belongs to you, which it doesn’t.

What about the Fighting Irish?
See above.
So the Irish have never been "a victimized class subjected to genocide, theft of their land, etc." Interesting...

Ireland - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Irish American - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Black and Tans - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Great Famine (Ireland) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

But this person is right, the French founders of Notre Dame weren't "using [a] culture’s imagery as if it belongs to [them]."

Reebok still has the contract with the NFL right? Until the contract is up Nike is just complaining about sour grapes.

Re: 2012 NFL Uniform Thread - Nike takes over

Shit just got real.

If that post is true and Reebok's agreement with the NFL expired at the beginning of March, well then they are probably screwed.

Re: 2012 NFL Uniform Thread - Nike takes over

I wondered if New Era was gonna offer this 'hip'-style of hat. I wonder if they're fitted. Either way, there will be other offerings that'll please different styles. I'd buy one of these to put it in the back window of my car.
