So Trent Williams, Brian Orakpo, and some later year first round picks for Luck at #1. At #7 you can maybe move down a bit and get someone like Reiff or even Luck's Stanford teammate Jonathan Martin to be your LT. Don't know who would replace Orakpo.

I wouldn't do that, Rak and TW are key players at huge positions to lose.. I'd just assume draft Tannehill or RG3 if thats the case

So, beside Roy Helu, we need a QB, WR, LT, LG, C, RG, RT, TE, and another WR on offense, then a CB?

I would totally be fine with that. No problem whatsoever. Trent is one toke away from being irrelevant in the nfl and orakpo is pretty overrated as it is. I'd do that in a heartbeat.

I couldn't give up Brian Orakpo. After Trent Williams puff, puff, pass ordeal, I'm not as high on him (no pun intended) as I used to be. This would be taken a huge chance, but I'd put Fred Davis in that list with the hopes that Chris Cooley could recover and be close to what he used to be. It would be difficult for the Rams to not give Sam Bradford another good weapon to throw to.

Trent is fine and you would give up our two best players pretty much for an unproven rookie QB? Wow

Btw who's gonna block for Luck?

The Rams won't accept that. They're going for a "Herschel Walker" type deal

You read my whole post?

And Skinsguy, we can't offer up Davis because he's a UFA. I think Orakpo's value is potentially at its peak right now. And I don't deny the impact he has in drawing blockers allowing guys like Kerrigan to succeed. But it's apparent he's better served in a 4-3, and more importantly a 3-4 OLB who's basically occupying players for his teammates to shine is not as valuable as a potential franchise QB.

Well what about giving the Rams a 2013 first and our 3rd this year for Sam?

That is a very tempting scenario. I love TW but his off-field problems make him perhaps a long-term liability. And I love Rak but he is not great in coverage and remains undeveloped as a pass rusher. We'd have to find a FA to fill Rak's spot but I might pull the trigger on this scenario.

I like TW a lot, but don't let the Oklahoma connection cloud your judgement. He's been inconsistent. He's one strike away. But most importantly the fact that he is a talented LT means he brings value. If we could flip him for another talented LT plus a potential franchise QB, you'd have to seriously consider it I think.

I do agree w you and I'd take Luck all day but Rak and Trent thats some talent we would be letting go. I'd prob pull the trigger though now that I think about it

Do you see Willie Smith as being a possible starting Left Tackle. He has gone up against thre probowler in three week and only alowed 1 sack a game. Next week is another huge test. I am praying for a senario where the Rams get the first pick and we trade for Bradford. I would be happy with Luck also. The reason I ask this is because does Willie Smith become part of the trade or allow them to trade Williams.

That would be a pretty ballsy move, but it's probably the kind of move it will take to move up for Luck.
