^ Smootsmack works at ESPN. He is the Grand Poohbah there. He spends his day wearing a large crown, sitting on a throne, and receiving tribute from Bill Belichick.

So I shouldn't be rushing out to get that 3D TV anytime soon, LOL.

I've never really had any problem with McShay (I personally think he's more into college football than pro football) but I can't say we've really interacted all that much. He's not a total ass like (I'm not really going to name names here) and he's not necessarily a go out of their way to chat with you good guy like Colin Cowherd (yeah that's right I said Cowher), Barry Melrose, or Jalen Rose. He's just McShay. I've never noticed him to be arrogant at all.

Does he have connections? At the college level, absolutely. At the pro level, yes but I'm sure they're not at the same level as Kiper.

McShay was not the only person to regard Snead highly going into last season. And he's not the only person to comment somewhat negatively on Clausen. Why he gets treated like he is the only one baffles me.
Fair enough. In that case, it sounds like some scout may just have an ax to grind.

Re: Jon Gruden's QB Camp

Jimmy Clausen threw his coaches under the bus, for the michigan game because he called 4 time out and had a delay of game because he said the coaches took to long to call the plays. I tell you he is a me first, piss on you type of guy.

Re: Jon Gruden's QB Camp

If the Skins waste a pick on a QB this year, I will be ticked. They only have 4 picks, and McNabb better be here for at least 3-4 years. I will have lost confidence if they pick a QB this year, especially after the McNabb move. I am holding onto my faith, but I must admit, it is slipping away like sand in an hourglass.

According to ESPN radio 4 or 5 years before it becomes relatively standard.

Re: Jon Gruden's QB Camp

Watching this now... thought Gruden went a little easy on Tebow, but that's not a shocker. Clausen didn't do himself any favors with the excuses and the constant "mmhmm" answers when he was getting criticized. Also looked like a clown with the pen and notepad. Very contrived, imo. Didn't seem as if he was actually accepting the criticism. Thought McCoy was ok, seemed a little too eager to please I think, liked when he finally started getting a bit defensive about the height and some other nits. Bradford, in my opinion, looked like the best out of the bunch. Seemed to have confidence, while still accepting the criticism.

It's a different experience for sure. I think it takes some getting used to.

Oh, and I gotta give props to Stephania Bell, can't forget about her

I'll just repost what I did a few weeks back (using some of my MBA buzzwords). I manage part of the day to day business strategy for a domestic (US) sports network. I coordinate, develop, and manage the planning and implementation of strategies that leverage our assets in order to optimize revenue generating streams and grow the business while increasing viewer awareness and consumption. (There's that MBA!!)

A lot of the stuff I'm currently working on actually is stuff that you haven't seen yet. No one has.

But anyway, a lot of my Redskins information come from having covered the Redskins locally (as in DC) many years ago. Most of my internal contacts are gone, actually just about all of them are, but some of them still keep in touch with what's going on. And fortunately, this new regime has given me a couple of new internal contacts. So while I get a fair amount of my info thanks to my current job, a lot of it is actually thanks to previous jobs...and other relations

I've been saying it ALL DAY LONG. I was actually kind of surprised how many people around here took issue with it. I felt like I was dodging a shooting gallery after my initial comments.

Thank you,

I wasn't trying to pry, but its been eating away at me for some time, especially when everyone seems to be waiting for your confirmation on things. I like to keep my privacy, but since you shared some info. I am a Armored Car Driver/Vault Manager I fill up ATM's and deliver all the main bank branches their money locally. Your job sounds better, getting to meet some of the athletes would be cool as shit.

I'm all about privacy too. Inadvertently gave away too much information once and I was cyberstalked for a while here. Wasn't pretty

But anyway, your job sounds pretty cool and dangerous at the same time. I suspect you have to be on the lookout constantly.

As for meeting the athletes, you get kind of numb to it after a while

Yeah, But it's all good if you trust your partner and can keep your mouth shut on what your carrying. The hardest part is when your partners a Cowboy fan and you can't pop two hollow points in his leg, without getting written up.
