Re: Tim Tebow Scouting Report
Well then I can live with a franchise tackle and a QB like Tebow in the second. I know a lot of people don't like him as an NFL QB but I personally think he's a lot like Ben Roethlisberger. God knows this team is short of leaders. There's only so much Fletcher can do.
Plus how can you hate a QB that played NT in the state championship game right after running the ball for 80 yards. Gruden on Tebow: Quote:

Re: Sources: Gruden the front runner
After watching the Dolphins and their Wildcat -Single Wing- offense terrorize the Jets defense tonight i believe Tebow will be drafted to fill that role if nothing else. Is he a starter in this league? time will tell but as long as there are teams running the cat there is a place for a guy with his talents on their roster.

Re: Sources: Gruden the front runner
Gruden's not a team builder, but he's leaps and bounds beyond Zorn's abilities. At least we'd have a head coach who knows more about football than the average fan.

Re: Sources: Gruden the front runner
very true, gruden's success came from driving a team that tony dungy built. We need a man who can build and drive the train forward.

Re: Sources: Gruden the front runner
I've watched this guy for 4 years and he isn't NEARLY the passer Chris Leak was and where is Chris Leak? It's the stupid ass media that can't get enough of him. Great college player w/ 0 potential as an NFL QB. I wouldn't even draft this guy.

Re: Sources: Gruden the front runner
Dungy, HA that's rich. I'd love that but he's not that stupid. Maybe if Gibbs was the President and only then b/c of their religious connection.
Cowher delivered in Pittsburgh but their FO/fanbase was VERY patient with him. I can't expect the same from ours. On the plus side he would have a talented defense to start with...something that is a must for him. Holmgren is a good choice for the FO but i don't know if he has it as a coach any more. Sure he wants to win a superbowl but i'm afraid he's seen too many teams to have the patience to coach this one up. Moving Zorn to OC or QB coach would be a possibility hear so i like the consistency aspect of it. Gruden is a gimmicky pick. I feel that with him its an all or nothing shot. He could be really good by finally controlling a team which is willing to go out and get the talent he wants. He could also be a complete flop if his eventual pick in Tebow can't make the NFL leap. One thing is tru about this guy, he knows football and puts in long hours. He won't be making any coaching mistakes, that's for sure. Shanahan is my favorite simply b/c he has the ability to get the best work out of the talent he has. He is a master of making game-time adjustments, something that btw the redskins have lacked since Gibbs 1.0. Shanahan is also a well respected coach who could come in and instantly get the players to buy in. He has proven that he can make a perennial winner and with the deep pockets of DS, he could be a force to be reckoned with. Reuniting him with Portis is an added bonus.
