We are worse than Detroit, and Snyder a worse owner than Al Davis.

I think there's room for you on the Pats bandwagon.

Re: Are we the Detroit Lions?

And here's my point in how ridiculous it is to compare the Lions to the Redskins. The Redskins have had 15 playoff wins since 1980, 5 Conference Championship appearances, 4 Conference Championships, 4 Super Bowl appearances, 3 Super Bowl victories.

The Lions have had only one playoff win since 1980, 1 conference Championship appearance, 8 losses all in the wild card round, no Super Bowl appearances. Comparing just the last 10 years, the Lions had two playoff appearances, the Redskins had three. The Lions didn't win in either one of those playoff appearances, the Redskins have two victories.

There still cannot rightfully be any comparison between the two franchises.

Al Davis can barely walk, let alone make football decisions. Since they went to the Super Bowl 4 or 5 season back, they have the league's worst winning percentage- 23.8%. Detroit isn't far behind. How is Snyder a worse owner than Al Davis? Or the Ford/Millen joke in Detroit for that matter?

Since 1993, the Redskins have a whopping 8 more victories than the Lions over that same time span.

skinsguy, and really myself and any other skin fan really, doesnt want to admit it but for the last 15 years we have a lot in common with the lions. we have both sucked. we both had a fwe moment hear and there, but we both also have lots of free agent and draft pick busts.

yes any team has busts, but the skins and matt millen get a lot of publicity for what they do and what they have done that hasnt worked. '

matt millen might be a genious for drafting johnson with the second pick in the draft, but he still looks like an idiot becuase its the 4th one. just like if dan snyder signs any free agent hes goign to get critized saying he doesnt use the draft or say that he over paid.

Re: Are we the Detroit Lions?

Not only that, but which franchise has a better record than the Redskins since 1993?

It's one that gets joked constantly in the NFL these days, and whose owner is ridiculed even more than Lil' Danny ....

The Oakland Raiders. They have a 106-134 record since '93. The Skins is 104-135-1.

Re: Are we the Detroit Lions?

So who's ready for the Skins to quit the NFL?

I know I sure am. This team might as well just fold and call it quits, cause we're comparable to the Lions. No wait.. The Raiders. We are just the epitome of a terrible franchise.

Come on, let's all just hop on the Raven's bandwagon while we still have a chance.

Why are we arbitrarily pulling the year 1993 out of a hat? We've made the playoffs twice in the past three years. Detroit and Oakland have exactly ZERO playoffs berths among them in that span, and are both in the bottom 5 in overall winning percentage since 2003. That's more telling to me than what's happened since 1993. It's a what you done for me lately league.

I'm not saying The Danny is a great or even good owner at this point, but we're nowhere near Oakland or Detroit currently.

I chose 1993 because that was the first year after Gibbs left -- the beginning of the 'Dark Ages' for Redskins fan, if you will.

Since then, only the Bengals, Lions, and Cardinals have an overall record worse than Washington.

Do we really want to see how we rank among the other teams since, say ... 2002?
