Re: Is Tom Brady the best QB ever?
Id say Brady is a good QB but its hard for me to say he is a great QB. I have watched the Pats for years because I hate them and in my honest opinion it is a true team. I think Brady can make good throws and lead the team but I dont think he is a Montana, Elway, or a Marino. I really believe the Patriots teams are just a well oiled machine that is build by a great system that lets players play to there strengths. I think Brady is a really good QB but watching him play he isnt in the great class imo. Before this season his numbers werent really eye popping. Just my opinion. HTTR.

Re: Is Tom Brady the best QB ever?
how can people that say Brady is a systems qback, keep including Troy Aikman on any top 10 list? he was the ultimate systems qback, surrounded by stars

I don't really see where objective evidence tries to prove that Brady is a system QB. I totally disagree with the gremlin on this one, but by the tone of the response, it's almost like you are just assuming the evidence points to that. It doesn't.

Re: Is Tom Brady the best QB ever?
Ha! I was making two seperate points, but I see now that it looks like I was addressing the system quarterback statement with an assault on the stats argument.

Re: Is Tom Brady the best QB ever?
Elway. He got to 5 SBs and led his team to game winning TDs in big games. He had very little supporting cast.
Montana. Same as above, but had Rice, Clark, etc. Brady. Wins a ton, but never gets the gw TD. How good would he be if Vanderjagt were his kicker? |

Re: Is Tom Brady the best QB ever?
That's a really, really airtight case for Starr.
I'll still take Marino, but reading that article has definately improved my opinion of a guy who I thought was more of a system QB. The rest of their list is meh, but I do support the Graham inclusion.

Re: Is Tom Brady the best QB ever? not yet
He has a Great offensive line, 2 great/good recievers and one good one, a good TE, a good running back, and a very good/great defense.
Think about the situations he has been in this year, and how many current QBs would have great seasons on that same team...10 others? 15 others? That many would not set the records he did, but heres what I think.. I think there are about 15 current NFL QBs put on THAT team with a few years in their system would also be skipping the first round of the playoffs....and a couple of them would have been setting records as well. my 2 cents
