lol.........I'll be booing LA on Dec. 30 thats for sure. I never knew LA was such a great GM. To bad he's gone. He's just pissed that he got let go before Joe Gibbs returns us to the Superbowl. Good Riddins and I wish many lack luster plays from LA for the giants. |

Re: Arrington happy to put Redskins in past
I'm happy to put the Arrington Soap Opera in the past. He was fun to watch and was a great interview while he was here but Williams proved that he can have a great defense without Arrington and hee just isn't a Gibbs kind of guy.
If your giving me a choice between Joe Gibbs and LeVar Arrington it's a no brainer and if LA didn't know that going in he's not very sharpe. Arrington seemed to think he was bigger than the Redskins...he's not...the great Joe Gibbs doesn't even believe he's bigger than the Skin's and he's in the HOF. |

Re: Arrington happy to put Redskins in past
This is for Gibbsisgod who thinks the PFT just "makes things up". Here deal with the author and see what you think?
Angry Arrington is on defensive BY ARTHUR STAPLE Newsday Staff Correspondent July 28, 2006 ALBANY -- Tom Coughlin does not need to worry about LaVar Arrington's motivation now that the linebacker is away from the Redskins. The chip still is squarely on Arrington's shoulder; if anything, maybe it's grown. The Giants reported to camp yesterday, and a two-practice day will kick off with on-field workouts this morning. Michael Strahan declined to speak with reporters, and many other returning Giants offered the customary first-day platitudes about camp. Not Arrington. He vented for nearly an hour to reporters outside his dorm, talking mostly about his undeserved bad reputation and wondering why he hears so much negativity about the Giants in the national football media. "People want to hate on the Giants," he said. "I've heard negative statements about Eli [Manning], about the defense. 'Who's going to be the biggest flop this year?' They say the Giants. They hate us. They really hate on the Giants. I guess it's a great situation because people have always hated on me." ESPN analyst and former Steeler Merril Hoge set off Arrington. According to Arrington, Hoge ripped him recently, which "really broke my heart. I go way back with this guy." Arrington said Hoge questioned whether the linebacker will fit in with Coughlin. "I seem to be the guy that people love to hate, for some strange reason," Arrington said. "I play with a chip on my shoulder because it just seems like it's much better to play as an underdog than it is to play as the guy everybody's chasing. I've been fighting this bad reputation and I just want to come in and contribute." |

Bandwagon, you seem to take my comments personally. All I am saying is I don't care for PFT. I wasn't implying they made the WHOLE story up. I was just saying that they seem to put their own spin on stories. No offense BW.

I'm not saying LA thought he was bigger than the team but I mean he made it about himself way too much last year. And it seems like he's doing the same now in NY.

Re: Arrington happy to put Redskins in past
Slightly off topic. I noticed another former Redskin is on the Giants roster-QB Rob Johnson. I'm surprised Arrington didn't talk about we let him go too.

Re: Arrington happy to put Redskins in past
There's no way Coughlin is going to stand for Arrington blabbing to the media all season. Should be interesting to see how he deals with him, and interesting to see if Arrington can keep his trap shut without pouting. I'd put the over/under at week 6 before this becomes an issue.

Had to be on my best behavior this past december when we were at fedex field whippin up on em. To make matters worse, we got the tickets as a wedding present from one of her friends & it was the first cowboys game she'd been to. |
