Don Maynard-Joe Namath. Also, in 1960 and 61 his head coach was none other than Sammy Baugh and Maynard too was the proud recipient of Dick Wood passes. On a side note, looking at his numbers Joe Namath doesn't belong in the HOF. Is he in simply because of a guarantee?
Actually I believe he was put in the HOF because he bagged more broads than any player in the history of the NFL.

I think King may have been using an old literary technique we like to call "hyperbole," (i.e. exaggeration for the point of emphasis.)

If not, I feel really bad for the IT guys who had to fix the email servers after SI got nailed with 16 million + emails in one day.

Don't I get a "thank you" for putting this together for you? My feelings are hurt now

Is in Dallas Cowboys discussion under Irvin vs Monk
Well I gotta give your guys over there some credit - that was a surprisingly intelligent and balanced discussion.

That should be the ultimate in proof for King - the fact that even the Dallas Cowboys fans, the most hated rivals of the Redskins, actually believe Monk should go in before or at least at the same time as Irvin. Doesn't get any more clear than that.

Yeah I was also suprised with the response of other board members, and I agree if your more hated rivals can agree that he should go in I believe that's the ultimate test

yea, i'm sure he was saying it in exageration. i just felt it was great material to use against him in the form of a question about monk and the hof.
