If they removed the clover off that helmet, it would actually look pretty good.

Re: 2012 NFL Uniform Thread - Nike takes over

So I've seen several places on this thread that the Skins won't be wearing burgundy pants any this year, so Saturday will be this first time we see the burgundy jerseys with probably the gold pants I guess? Or I guess they could go white pants.

I'm guessing it will be white pants with the burgundy jersey and gold with the white. I'd LOVE to see us in gold pants EVERY game though, with both jerseys. I love the B&G look and hate the all-white.

I always wanted to see what that would look like and then I never wanted to see it again. It was a nice experiment. I'll take it over solid white though. We're B&G, we should showcase our colors, not relegate them to a little bit of trim here and there.

The monochrome sets looks collegiate no matter what color.

Re: 2012 NFL Uniform Thread - Nike takes over

As I said earlier, I'm still getting used to the white jerseys on gold pants. It's just going to take some getting used to on my part. I have definitely gotten used to the burgundy jerseys on gold pants and really like that look now. Of course, I've always liked the burgundy on white pants too. Not a fan of all burgundy and all white though. I still like white jerseys on burgundy pants though.....:/ I guess the burgundy pants are a goner?

I think that helmet would look great with the shamrock a little bit smaller, by about a half.

Also, who doesnt think that their little fighting leprechaun wouldnt look better than that big piece of shamrock?

Re: 2012 NFL Uniform Thread - Nike takes over

I think this is really interesting:
Uni Watch Power Rankings (51-75)

Uni Watch is in the middle of counting down the best uniforms in sports (NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL). 1-122, the Skins come in almost exactly in the middle at 62.

I can't really argue with much of what they say here. I've been saying most of it for years. "It's a classic uniform, but starting to feel dated." And "The gold pants are great."

Re: 2012 NFL Uniform Thread - Nike takes over

It was even more interesting when some other guy did it first.

NFL.com Photos - The 122 of 2012: The Uniform Monitor's Ranking of American Pro Sports Uniforms

I don't agree with the Uniwatch assessment of us. Our look isn't becoming dated at all, it's classic.

The fact that they haven't listed the 8-shade mess that Dallas wears in the bottom half of the rankings pretty much negates the whole thing. They started wearing those green-tinted pants in the 1970s so they show up on the TVs of the time better, but today's HDTVs really make them look horrible If that's not "dated", I don't know what is!

At least we beat the Giants and their plain practice jerseys they wear on Sundays.

if ours are dated, what are the packers? or the bears?

good call, monkeydad, on dallas being ranked somewhere 50-1 - terrible

After the 75th NFL Anniversary in 1994, remember when all teams wore throwback uniforms...a couple years later the Giants switched back to their old look full-time. But, they're not "dated"? I'm really sick of the anti-Redskins bias out there.

Look familiar?

Re: 2012 NFL Uniform Thread - Nike takes over

The Chiefs have not changed their uniforms since 1968 when they added sleeve stripes. Yet, they have one of the better, cleanest, classic looks in the NFL. Some classic looks HAVE "modernized" and ruined their looks, like the Vikings.

Kc has a top ten look imo. I've always liked it.
