Re: Redskins Trade for Alex Smith
Unless the cap takes a serious dive in the next two years 30M won't cripple a team like Flaccos deal did and is right for an Elite QB.

Which if 6 or 7 years would be around 30 million. The other thing that we have to remember is the money they get comes from us. Sent from my SM-G955W using Tapatalk |

Rodgers, for what he brings to his team is certainly worth 14% of a team's cap, in today's market. Cousins is not, though some team may risk it with him, I am glad it won't be the Skins. |

The more money the NFL gets in tv contracts or in ticket prices comes from the fans. Advertisers pay tv networks and raise prices of products. Sent from my SM-G955W using Tapatalk |

You don't have a clue as to where the money comes from.

Re: Redskins Trade for Alex Smith
You talk about Cousins being greedy, I think we all agree the owners are greedier by far. Don't think for a minute that they aren't squeezing every dime out of the television contracts regardless of what they pay any individual player, or even the players as a whole group.

Re: Redskins Trade for Alex Smith
I don't live in make believe world where a money fairy puts the money under the pillows of all people in the NFL.
In my world it comes from fans or consumers of those companies that pay money to the NFL or the tv networks. Sent from my SM-G955W using Tapatalk |

When was the last time an NFL team wanted to sign a player but couldn't because the check would bounce?

Re: Redskins Trade for Alex Smith
Don't you know the fans rule all of the NFL economics. If we had bought just a few less Cousins jersey he would have been traded last year. [/sarc]
