I like Rodgers and think is the best and takes his team to a higher level. But I still believe no one player should cripple a team with their contact.

Unless the cap takes a serious dive in the next two years 30M won't cripple a team like Flaccos deal did and is right for an Elite QB.

2 things one there was a rumour he may get a 200 million dollar contract.

Which if 6 or 7 years would be around 30 million.

The other thing that we have to remember is the money they get comes from us.

I also heard that rumor, they also said he will only sign if they get him a jumbo 747 complete with 200 hoes and a bar where every shelf is top shelf.

You need to expand on this a bit, don't think I'm following here.

The money comes from tv contracts, stadium naming deals, and finally ticket sales. The money is from us fans only in a tertiary way at best and if the players didnt get their slotted share it would go back in the owners pockets, not ours.

Rodgers, for what he brings to his team is certainly worth 14% of a team's cap, in today's market.

Cousins is not, though some team may risk it with him, I am glad it won't be the Skins.

Guy is dating Danica Patrick I do not think hoes are an issue.

The more money the NFL gets in tv contracts or in ticket prices comes from the fans.

Advertisers pay tv networks and raise prices of products.

You don't have a clue as to where the money comes from.

You talk about Cousins being greedy, I think we all agree the owners are greedier by far. Don't think for a minute that they aren't squeezing every dime out of the television contracts regardless of what they pay any individual player, or even the players as a whole group.

We are the consumers who buy the products the advertisers are selling or pay the fees banks or insurance companies charge.

I don't live in make believe world where a money fairy puts the money under the pillows of all people in the NFL.

In my world it comes from fans or consumers of those companies that pay money to the NFL or the tv networks.

Why the hell do we have to remember that?

When was the last time an NFL team wanted to sign a player but couldn't because the check would bounce?

Don't you know the fans rule all of the NFL economics. If we had bought just a few less Cousins jersey he would have been traded last year. [/sarc]
