Grand Ayatollah or Grand Old Party? - By Reza Aslan | Foreign Policy
I'm beginning to hate the American voters.

Re: Meet The Candidates: 2012 GOP Thread
Interesting the way he scores this thing:
So, how did you score? 7-8 correct: Supreme leader 5-6 correct: Religious warrior 3-4 correct: Agnostic 1-2 correct: Radical secularist 0 correct: You make me want to throw up. I've seen Reza Aslan debate a couple of times and he's one of the most duplicitous, nausea-inducing, fact-phobic people. Even as a host/moderator at ALOUD gigs he loads questions to the point of an answer being superfluous. Just over a year ago Charles Franklin PoliSci from University of Wisconsin in an interview: Lueders says he asked Franklin why "the public seemed to vote against its own interests and stated desires, for instance by electing candidates who'll drive up the deficit with fiscally reckless giveaways to the rich. Franklin, perhaps a bit too candidly, conceded the point, "'I'm not endorsing the American voter,' he answered. 'They're pretty damn stupid.'" |

Re: Meet The Candidates: 2012 GOP Thread
Just wondering are the Republican voters kidding with making Santorum a threat to win the nomination? I heard that particularly in states with open primaries like Michigan Democrats are voting for Santorum for obvious reasons.
I personally haven't decided who would be better between Romney or Obama but at the end of the day I want that choice. Having someone like Santorum within shooting distance of the White House is quite scary in and of itself.

Trying to paint Obama as a radical is hilarious to say the least and shows that people don't pay attention to anything. Would a radical for civil liberties do the following? 1) Extend the Patriot Act 2) Sign National Defense Act that would allow civilians to be detained indefinitely 3) Keep Guantanamo Bay open I think his actions as President show how much of a radical he isn't. The fact of the matter is that Obama is a shitty ass President, but the GOPs puppets that they are trotting out are even shittier.

Re: Meet The Candidates: 2012 GOP Thread
Obama will always have a chance because people like her will vote for him all day long.
U.S. News - Michigan: No food stamps for $1 million lotto winner Mothers comments. "I'm not saying it's the right thing to do," Euline Clayton said of her daughter's use of food stamps. "But it's nobody's business if she's not breaking the law." Really its not our tax dollars paying for her food stamps? Last edited by firstdown; 03-08-2012 at 04:53 PM. |
