Re: Skins vs. Steelers Positives and Negatives

It's over reaction week in 16 football cities. I've been out in San Diego the last several weeks and Mike McCoy literally should not walk out on the streets here. The fans want his flesh and blood.

We are already in Code Red in week two. Next week is an absolute must win.

Me too, but only in the vein that we can win a bad division, just like we did last year.

If we had a modicum of improvement in the run game, on either side of the ball, we at least would have been more competitive.

Don't get me wrong, there's 15 games left and a ton of time. But I can't stick with my lofty expectation of 11-5 when we got run on like that.

I think he realizes that the strength of the offense is passing the ball. A few of those runs Jones literally had no chance. The interior of our line is pure shit on running plays. They were more than solid in pass pro. But 7 carries is ridiculous.Gotta do better than that.

My girlfriend is Malaysian and has been in Wildwood for 3 months or so first time in USA..... this was her first real American football viewing experience..... EVEN SHE WAS CALLING FOR BLITZES AND DOESN'T KNOW what they are ... "why cant they stop that #34??" She askes... "wow they just thrownit very fast every time" ..... FUCKIN FIRE Joe Barry. Norman NEVER should be away from Brown.... i didnt EVEN SEE CRAVENS... Fuller wasnt activated.... ZERO pass rush on critical downs AT ALL... i cant even believe the calls on both sides of the ball, of course thw refs were trash as fuck as usual but cmon with the false starts and fuck us for having our own stadium taken over by those bitch ass fuckin fans. Fuck a black and yellow bumble bee RAPElisburger lol - ok im breathing again.

Get your shit straight coaches. Get your head in the game players.

Fuck dallas. Another mobile qb who will run all over pur base defense and alfmo hungry to beat us will run all over us if we dont change SOMETHING. Good luck with the defensive coordinator folks, hes pure garbage.

Probably because the Steelers pass D was trash last year and they were much better vs the run, and we're built to pass right now. We should have carved them up. My question is why didn't that happen?

Re: Skins vs. Steelers Positives and Negatives

I spent the whole game wondering why Joe Barry wasn't telling Norman to cover AB. Breeland is a very good YOUNG player... he lost his cool against maybe the best receiver in the league, that's understandable, he'll get through it.

That being said, I'm not that disappointed by our D. They did a pretty good job (...until the whole team seemed to have lost all hope.)

Nickel defense worked pretty good. I think that was a smart move: D-line is our weak spot, you put only 2 D line, then 4 LB (usually bringing pressure with either Smith and/or Kerrigan) and 5 DBs, smart move. Only mistake was to leave Breeland getting beaten by AB.

Also our run game wasn't so bad... only under used.

Apart from Kory, our O-line looked good, pass protec was outstanding. I really think we should try to find someone at center.

Re: Skins vs. Steelers Positives and Negatives

Had no problem with Norman staying on one side. The problem was the Skins left Breeland on an island on the best receiver in the NFL. That is just dumb.

Receivers and Oline looked like they did their job. Cousins seemed off and just did not execute some passes that he usually does. He had an off day. Only problem is those off days seem to happen against other elite QBs.

That's a great story. I'd love to see her ask Joe Barry some post game questions.

Re: Skins vs. Steelers Positives and Negatives

The Browns will beat us and folks will start calling for a head coaching change...the best coach on the team is Bill Callahan..but seriously we need a center,a pass rusher and time to let cousins throw it downfield to see IF he really is the QB of future. We have one of the best group of WR's in league and that is all we got?? might as well trade some of them if we are not going to use them..BAD BAD COACHING..

Re: Skins vs. Steelers Positives and Negatives

I hope you are joking, Bill Callahan is not a good head coach. He is a good coordinator and offensive line coach.

He lost the team in Oakland, and failed as a Head Coach at Nebraska. He was the Head Coach when Nebraska lost to Texas Tech 70 - 10.

Re: Skins vs. Steelers Positives and Negatives

Positives:
Hopkins
The 'skins got the 2nd place ribbon last night!!

Negatives:
Coaching - all of them
Gruden/McVay for poor off plan
Callahan for failing to coach up the run game
Barry - gotta get some help for Breeland
oh, and how about popping the Tight End on 3rd & short to prevent that
quick, no-lace throw???

Front Office-
Chico quoted it...we wanted to get better running & stopping the run
YET....we make NO significant changes to the weak link Center position
For God's sake...we could've reached in the 2nd or 3rd round for all I care

and last but not least.....MYSELF
I was foolish enough to think that Compton & Foster would take a step forward at ILB
maybe make our poor d-line look decent...what was I thinking??!!
