Well it also boils down to does Marty want to come back, does Cowher want to come here? Do they really want to work together?

How often the Commander in Chief attend practices for...say the Raiders? On Monday morning in the most powerful city on earth, the topic of conversation with the most powerful people is the Skins game.

Marty already was GM and HC because that's what Dan Snyder agreed to according to the terms of the contract. Year one under Marty wasn't so great offensively, and Snyder wanted him to relinquish control of parts of the coaching staff. It was Dan Snyder who tried to weasel out of the terms of the contract and Marty called him on it. |

Re: Michael peels back the curtain at Redskins Park in interview with Wise
Marty S. is JUST WHAT THIS TEAMS NEEDS. A few weeks ago when we were playing the Giants I noticed that they looked like the team that was physically tougher and stronger. And to me that is what this team is missing and Marty will make sure we're a physically tough team. Not to mention some much needed discipline.

Coach Marty Schottenheimer's contract with the Washington Redskins gives team owner Daniel Snyder full authority to hire a front office executive to head the club's player personnel department if he chooses. That leaves open the possibility that Snyder could hire a general manager or an executive with GM-like powers this offseason who would report to Snyder, not Schottenheimer, and oversee the retooling of the team's roster. |

Re: Michael peels back the curtain at Redskins Park in interview with Wise
Please take this seriously, if we're talking about potential GMs:
THE TUNA! I personally would hate to see him in anything close to B&G, but word is that he might be looking to leave Miami after this year, as is his usual pattern. IF we have a miserable 09 & the Danny really wants to blow this thing up, don't be surprised if he's at least contacted. |
