Re: Seems like Cutler might be available.

Just for the sake of discussion....

I'm a big Jason Campbell fan, i think that under Zorn JC will become a good if not great QB.

But, Jay Cutler is already the type of QB i think that Jason Campbell is going to become.
Jay Cutler is futrure Jason Campbell except Denver's WCO is more vertical then ours and Cutler is better throwing on the run then JC, but otherwisw they have very similiar tools.

Wonder if it was this discussion prompted some moronic fan to ask Cutler this question:

Quote:

Jeff (Charlotte, NC): Hey Matt - lots of rumors flying around the skins message boards wondering if there could be a 3 way trade between skins, KC, and Denver. Denver gets Cassel, skins get Cutler, KC gets Campbell and draft picks - any chance something like this happens?

Matt Mosley: (12:53 PM ET ) Jeff, you desperately need sleep. Of all the scenarios I've heard, this makes the least sense. I'm Jason Campbell's biggest apologist, but there's no way Pioli's going to give up Cassell for him. Not in a million years. Not in 10 million years.
Jeff, whoever you are, if you're reading this thread, why dont you do us all a favor and start rooting for the Panthers?

The teams that approached them did so because McDaniels is the new coach and they though maybe he would rather bring Cassell with him to Denver. Didn't happen and the Broncos would be absolutely insane to trade Cutler for the 13th pick. Cutler is the best young QB in the league. If Denver can get a run game he'll be one of the great ones. So I'd take him, but he ain't coming.
What this guy said.

This just goes to show that the best thing about the internet is it gives the fan a voice. It also shows that the worst thing about the internet is that it gives the fan a voice.

Strongly agree BHA, This kind of talk makes Skins fans sound ignorant and extreamly desperate.

Could that have been a question from someone in the front office? Looking at the Taylor debacle, I would say they are the ones who were ignorant and desperate.

Re: Seems like Cutler might be available.

I like Campbell a lot, but I would say that if we could get Cutler at a reasonable price there is no reason not take it. Cutler is a pro bowl QB. Not saying that Jason Campbell can't be, but when you can get a proven commodity you take it.

Will or would the Broncos trade him for the 13th pick? Doubtful. They would probably want a lot more than just the 13th pick. They would probably want at a minimum 2 first round picks and maybe even another high round pick. Denver would be absolute stupid if they trade him away because getting franchise QBs is really hard to do. I know that he is not as good as Elway, but he is better than anyone else they have since Elway. They should hold onto him.
