Walton's analysis is right up there with Sam Huff's. At least Huff played at a high level.

Seriously are you guys going to make me side with a Giants fan on a Redskin forum? C'mon Man!

Still I must say that I feel that the Redskins coaching staff is being foolish by refusing to play Haynesworth more then a handful of plays. Right now our NT Kemoeatu, who I still believe isn't fully recovered from a torn achilies, only has one direction and thats backwards. Haynesworth, in spite of all his problems at least gets a push up the middle. In fact even if he gets blown out his gap, he's still quick enough to recover. We keep on talking about acquiring a difference maker on the D-Line during the offseason but the fact of the matter is we have one on our team right now.

Tell me how his performance yesterday justifies his contract and his spot on the roster?

Ah is better than the guys on the Dline but that's really not saying much cause the guys that are currently playing are terrible.

Wow...Apparently,it's not the Lions like myself and many thought...

It's Carolina....
Should the Redskins trade for Panthers WR Steve Smith? | Redskins Post

Should the Redskins trade for Panthers WR Steve Smith?

According to the Charlotte Observer, Carolina Panthers WR Steve Smith could be on the trade block, if so, should the Washington Redskins trade for him? I say the Redskins should do it in a heartbeat. The Carolina Panthers are a terrible team this year and the organization is in disarray. John Fox is finishing out his contract and most likely will be gone at the end of the season and they are starting a rookie quarterback, Jimmy Clausen, under center. It makes sense for the Panthers, an organization no where near sniffing the playoffs this year or most likely next, to get what value they can for the veteran and move forward with their rebuilding plans.

The benefit for the Washington Redskins is two-fold. First, Smith is under contract for two years, unlike Vincent Jackson who would have been a one year rental and was demanding a big time, long term contract. Second, it’s obvious that the Redskins need play makers on offense. Smith is unhappy in Carolina, and at the age of 31, realizes he might be running out of chances to return to the playoffs, especially with the Carolina Panthers. Smith only has 11 receptions this season. That is not an endorsement of his playing skills decreasing, it simply reflects how poor the Panthers offense has been so far.

I would imagine that Smith could be had for a fourth round pick. This would be a move that would be smart for the Redskins.

Better yet, I realize player for player trades are rare in the NFL but how about Albert Haynesworth for Steve Smith?

Good ****ing god, how many players with a 3-year expiration date do we need?

Not to mention Shanahan DOES KNOW how to snatch WR talent(see B. Marshall, E. Royal, R. Smith, E. Mccaffery) from the draft and scrapheap.

We don't need another small WR.. We already have Moss who's pretty small and fast.. Smith, although is much stronger than Moss.. I think we need a tall WR to win jump-ball catches to take some heat off from Moss..

I've seen Steve Smith win jump balls. Also, what is this obsession with tall WRs? We need playmakers. Steve Smith is a playmaker. If we can have him for a 4th rounder why not?

Right now I'd take a medium pizza and a 2 litre of Orange Crush for him.
