Re: Redskins trade for Alex Smith
Not sure exactly how true Kendall's statement is. But I think there's some truth there. And it explains the trade pretty well:
Kendall Fuller: Leaving Washington is “a little emotional” – ProFootballTalk “It wasn’t like, ‘Oh, the Redskins, they were looking to get rid of me.’ They just saw this as the guy they needed to bring in. The Chiefs were bringing it to them like, ‘If you want this guy, you have to give up Kendall Fuller.’ All of them were upset that I had to go. It wasn’t like they were trying to kick me out the door. It was a little emotional.”

Re: Redskins trade for Alex Smith
The part about the Chiefs coming to the Skins saying "if you want AS, it's Fuller or no one else".
Maybe it's 100% accurate, but maybe it's something the Skins told Fuller to make him not hate them too much, or maybe it's close to something the Skins told him and Fuller is twisting it a bit to make it sound like the Chiefs wanting him badly. Can be any of the 3 above, or a mix of all of them. Truth in these negotiating matters is a hard thing to grasp. Envoyé de mon SM-J320FN en utilisant Tapatalk

Re: Redskins trade for Alex Smith
And in any case it's pretty clear the Chiefs were more interested in Fuller than anyone the Skins would have been willing to offer more easily.

Re: Redskins Trade for Alex Smith
The Chiefs definitely needed help in the secondary and Fuller is a up and coming young CB, seems natural they targeted him

Re: Redskins trade for Alex Smith
Another good article by Kiem. He does a good job. He's as Even Steven as you can ask for. It would be interesting to buy him some beers and get his personal opinion without having to be an intermediate for everyone:

Maybe it sounded like I was questioning Fuller statement, I wasn't. I was simply saying it's hard to know if it's 100% accurate since he's part of the story. But my main point was the FO probably did what they had to do on this one. Some here thought trading Fuller was a huge mistake, all of us felt it was hard to see him go. Knowing the Chiefs singled him out in the negotiating process makes it look better IMO.

Re: Redskins trade for Alex Smith
Kirk's big weakness is when the pocket collapses he caves and eats the sack, Alex moves out of trouble and gets yards. That will be huge

It will be refreshing to cheer for a guy who wants to win and is in it for the team.

Re: Redskins trade for Alex Smith
In the last 7 years Alex Smith is 69-31 as a starter, Lets see if Kirk will do that after he has started for 7 total years. I doubt it. The guy is a WINNER not a STAT guy
