I was joking around with the bring back Norv stuff(like the Frerotte stuff), although I do think he is a real offensive guru(unlike Kyle). Yeah, he doesn't run the WC offense, and to be honest I wish we could scrap it as well. We have been running variations of it post Spurrier, and it hasn't exactly done the trick. Still, realistically, yeah we are stuck with Kyle for the time being, and I think once we get the right QB, we will be fine down the road. The major frustration we all have is that we did not expect playoffs, but we didn't expect to look like we are regressing. The main reason is obvious, a lack of a QB. So my big beef with the Shanny's and Bruce Allen is why didnt they see this, and why didn't they act on bringing in a great QB in here via the 2011 draft? I can accept this season is going to be bad now, but damn, how long til we actually see some good competitve football for a change? What is really going to do it in for me is that we do have patience for another 2-3 seasons with these guys and we still suck. I think that should be the end of the matter for all of us, meaning we just ditch the team. |

Okay Gabbert sucks. He actually doesn't have a shot.. and this is coming from a guy who wanted Gabbert at the draft.

Re: 49ers vs. Redskins Game Day Thread
Why we passing on Ponder and Gabbert is beyond me. Serviceable starters if you ask me and even if we did have a crappy year, just chalk it up to a rook who is going to learn and only get better in 2012. We will draft a QB in 2012, give him a couple years, and if we still suck, we are in a load of hurt.

Yeah Dalton has surprised me quite a bit, but I really don't think Blaine has any chance at a long tenure in Jax.

Re: 49ers vs. Redskins Game Day Thread
Blaine is okay but he hasn't played as good as Ponder or Dalton. But the Jax offense is not much to talk about, I don't think their o-line is that great, neither are their receivers, and MJD has been inconsistent. But at least the Jax have something to build on, we have nothing.

Re: 49ers vs. Redskins Game Day Thread
Thomas, Hill, Lewis, MJD, a surprisingly good and young offensive line and even a stud FB..
Not to mention even though Gabbert sucks, he's on a completely different level compared to Beck.
