Rumor is that Belichick wanted to keep Jimmy G and Brady wanted him gone, ownership sided with Brady. The trade to the 49ers was probably Belichick wanting to help Jimmy G land in a more promising team (since the Browns were the main contender to get him that year).

Yeah that rumours done the rounds ever since. I can't help think it's a bit of a smokescreen. Knowing how Belichick seems to always get his way, I can't believe he let ownership overrule him.

To me it seems more like business sense all round. Brady looked like he'd do 3-4 more PB level seasons at that point and getting some capital for Jimmy instead of losing him to FA when Brady was still going to be around just made sense.

Absolute shock.

I couldn't have seen that coming after being retirement age and missing 12 games with a concussion last year.

/sarcasm.

Really, I hope you aren't surprised by this.

Chiefs can't even run regular drop back passes against SF. That front is too much for KC's oline.

When you can get there with 4 rushers, it starts to look easy.

Kc looks shell shocked.

Also investing in Oline is big.

Mahomes is seeing ghosts. Rushing throws for no reason. That last interception should've been simple pitch and catch.

Re: Super Bowl week: around the NFL

9ers gonna be good for a while. Dominant up front on both sides of the ball.

Can't wait for Chase Young.
