This team is injured more than any I've ever seen, how can this still be ongoing year after yr?

We all knew not to expect anything from him this season but I don't think any of us expected injury to be the reason.
I guess we're keeping Mason.

More injury news: Alex Smith
Still with ring external fixator but progress as weight bearing. A little like erector set, the apparatus undergoes constant modifications. Clear that at least this season is out of the question.

With this hot start to the year I think we have a legit chance at breaking the seasonal NFL record for knee/ankle/heel injuries that require a full year to recover!

How long before this can be ruled a career-ending injury? We could really use that 12M cap credit from his insurance policy next year.

And I'm sure he's nowhere near at a point health-wise, where he can make a decision about his career.

who said anything about retiring?
Its just the matter of having doctors tell him that he can't play anymore. This wont affect Alex's pay.
