i can quite honestly say that i do not turn my head to look at something on the side of the road like an accident. if it's in my eyesight i'll see it, but won't slow to a stop to look at it. i just don't see there being a point in gawking at someone else's misery. besides, it's extremely dangerous to do so...that's why there is usually more than one accident with a mile of each other...someone not paying attention to the road ahead of them
what makes it worse is when you hear a traffic report about an accident up ahead, and everyone slows down...only to realize the traffic reporting is like the stock tickers, always about 20 minutes behind. /soapbox
