He had a crosser, from right to left, totally uncovered in the middle of the field and just never saw him. Great example of how Vick still doesn't see the whole field when he goes back to throw. For him to have a long career, he has to learn to scan the field better so he doesn't endure the kind of hits a quarterback is bound to receive if he takes off six or eight times a game, every week.

Well, yeah. I think he's more like old timey Michael Vick in more ways than people want to believe at this point. But I also think there's been legitimate (if not wholesale) improvement in the "when to runs" and "functional effectiveness while running" areas.

Vick's playing the best ball of his career, but his passing isn't really any more or less valuable than Kolb in the same offense. Obviously, when you have two quarterbacks throwing the ball at the same level, and one of them is duel-threat Michael Vick, then Vick needs to be the one who is playing. Which the Eagles know, apparently.

Vick is only going to get better people. He's only had a few starts in this offense. He's one of the top rated passers this year and he's really making some serious stick throws. The guy can flat out spin the ball. Time will tell if he's truly going to put the effort in to take it to the next level. But he's really setting himself up for a big payday.

If Vick keeps playing like he is, how can the Eagles let him go?

Vick isn't going anywhere. The Eagles almost certainly will sign him to a new contract. They've found their new franchise QB. He is only 30 years old and could play for 5 or 6 more years at least.

I agree with you but just want to point out he does sometimes go back to his old ways. Which in this case it cost him a couple of games and maybe some wins for his team.

Re: What's up with all this Mike Vick talk?

I doubt the Eagles let go of Vick, IMO he is the most exciting player in the league and they can get him for a good price b/c he will want to stay but they already have Kolb. I'm hoping we find a QB gem in the draft this year -- lots of good guys coming out of college and supposed to be one of the deepest QB drafts in years, hopefully Allen finds a good one for the next 10+ years.

So your telling me that Vick this year is not as bright of a future as McNabb ? HMMMMM .. WTF NFL are you watching .. it will never happen and i'm totally for McNabb staying for long term .. but if you could choose the 2 right now, today .. it's a slam dunk i's Vick

I dont think Philly is going to let Vick go,and if they dont I wonder if they'd part with kolb. What do you think of us pursuing Kolb? I would be for it myself but I doubt if Philly would deal us another QB.
