Re: Why not Fred Davis for Gaither?
The ravens had the highest ranked o-line in the NFL last year. That they would diminish it for a TE is highly unlikely.

Anyway, it sounds like Gaither is damaged enough that the Ravens are willing to part ways with him, I hope we stay away from him if this is the case. Let's just get Okung or Williams.

Ahh, the all-important 2 TE sets. Every Super Bowl winner the last 10 years won because of their impossible to defend 2 TE sets

Re: Why not Fred Davis for Gaither?
Personally, I like for a team to have two offensive tackles.

Re: Why not Fred Davis for Gaither?
Campbell for Gaither to re-unite him with Zorn. (not serious)
I also do not understand the "trade Cooley" being thrown around so easily and so often. I think people are really forgetting how good he is for us. So he broke his foot...big deal. Cooley should start over Davis and they both should be retained for not only depth, but to utilize them together. Davis is more of an oversized WR than blocking TE who can catch like Cooley. They can both contribute differently to our team. I'd love to get Gaither, but not at the cost of one of our two more productive players. Trade Landry or Carter and a late pick for him, but not a Top 10 TE in either Cooley or Davis. I think Baltimore would rather find Heap's eventual replacement thrugh the draft anyways.

Re: Why not Fred Davis for Gaither?
I'm not really interested in Gaither anymore. I have never been able to find anything specific, but the Ravens wouldnt have drafted Oher or be willing to trade a starting left tackle for a 2nd round pick unless there was a serious problem with the guy.
id much rather sign Adams to play RT and trade for bushrod to play LT.

Re: Why not Fred Davis for Gaither?
Trade for Brandon Marshall
B Marshall stats the last 3 seasons 2009- 101 catches 1120 yards 2008- 104 catches 1265 yards 2007- 102 catches 1120 yards We shouldn't trade for BM his catches & yards went down in 2009 he's on the decline. I'M JOKING BIG TIME. |

Re: Why not Fred Davis for Gaither?
Why? I think Cooley has proven himself here. He's not THAT old.

Re: Why not Fred Davis for Gaither?
Or trading for Gaither, and this is not the NBA were player for player trades happen that often. What's wrong with taking the best tackle (if available) at #4?
