re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
Well, I finished Bioshock 2 way too quickly. It was pretty good, but it's hard to live up to the first one.
My biggest complaint is probably that some of the plasmids actually made the game too easy because I could just fire them off and let them do a lot of the work for me.

re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
I reached prestige last night on MW2 so moving on to new games, I am going to crunch on Uncharted 2. After that I don't know.

Borderlands is a fantastic game. It's a mix between Diablo II and an FPS. I highly recommend it!

Wow thanks I hear they are going to follow it up with Madden 2013 and don't forget the prequel Madden 2011.

re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
Just finished Mass Effect 2 and it was alot better than I expected, would definetly recommend it.
Tried Dante's Inferno and if you like God of War its worth a rental, lots of boobs is a plus, but gameplay isn't as smooth. Picked up MAG also and really like it so far. If you like online-FPSs it is worth a look as well. Slow to begin with until you level up to the 256 player maps. Nice character customization, as far as play style, and more strategic than MW2. |

re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
There seems to be a lot of good games coming out that I'd def. play but because I don't do the whole shell out 60 on release day I prob won't be playing a few of these for a while. But Heavy Rain, Just Cause 2, GOW 3, Splinter Cell Conviction (yet another reason for me to buy a 360 lol) and Bad Company 2 all look great. I still haven't even bought Assassins Creed 2 or Uncharted 2 yet, I think I'm gonna wait for both to go down because I have the first A.C. and Uncharted and I haven't finished either. I'm playing the original A.C. real slow because I get burnt out on repeating the same damn path everytime I kill a boss in one section of a city.

re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
AVP is decent, but unless you're a hardcore fan of the series or have money to burn it's not a game I would pay full price for as it's pretty average.
on the plus side it does pack some good jump out of your seat moments when playing the human campaign.

I've been playing the new Batman game and while it's pretty good I'm quickly getting bored with it. It's worth renting.

Oh so you did end up picking that one up. That is a disappointing review. Hmmm... Let me say Uncharted 2 is probably in my top 5 games of all time at this point. I am nearly done and it was been a wild ride. I would also like to say it has been nearly two weeks since I have played or touched MW2, I feel like I should get a pin for that.
