Dude give me a break, let's not act like the Falcon's sideline acted like a bunch of choir boys.

Is that why Hall kept pushing his way back into the mass of players and coaches?

They didn't they acted like a punk walked onto THEIR sideline and started to talk shit. I realize you all only have a few games worth of the DHall knowledge to work with, but defending him will only make you second guess yourself later on. There's a reason even the RAIDERS didn't want him on their team.. he's a punk.

Mike Smith's beef should have been with Landry, who got up after the hit and trotted back to the huddle. Instead, he lost his cool and took it out on the completely wrong person.
If you watch the video with your eyes open you'll see that the Landry issue was completely separate from what happened with Hall. Coach Smith defended his players and sideline, the Falcons are not to be messed with. It's really too bad that Hall got his feelings hurt when he was traded to the Raiders but he had no reason to step a foot onto the Falcons sideline.

I just wonder how some of you would be reacting if the situation was reversed. Frankly I love that Smith stands up for his players, maybe if the Skins had any heart they'd do the same. How long exactly did it take for any players to come to Halls aide?

re: The D. Hall incident

It's funny how the same cast of characters will shred anything that certain players (Hall, Thomas, Portis, Haynesworth, Campbell) do or say REGARDLESS OF THE EVIDENCE! There's a great breakdown done on the DC Sports Bog (D.C. Sports Bog - Inside the DeAngelo Hall sideline melee) that neither implicates nor absolves Hall of wrongdoing but clearly shows that at WORST it's 50/50. If Rogers had done the same exact thing, or even worse, would there be the same outcry? How about McIntosh? Don't give me 'well they wouldn't do something like that anyways' BS either. Some of you guys have such agendas it removes all credibility from your opinions.

re: The D. Hall incident

MIKE SILVER, YAHOO! SPORTS:

“Is [Hall] experiencing problems with the imaginary friend who lives in his helmet? That’s my theory after he capped a ridiculous week by starting a bunch of drama on the Falcons’ sidelines in his team’s 31-17 defeat at the Georgia Dome on Sunday, then had the gall to whine that Atlanta coach Mike Smith had “put his hands on me in a harmful way.” Cue the violins. I’ve repeatedly watched the video of the incident, which began after Redskins safety LaRon Landry put a late hit on Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan on the Atlanta sideline, and I’m having a really hard time believing that Hall’s planned complaint to the NFL about Smith will be met by anything but laughter. … The opposing sideline is off-limits; even Landry had the good sense to leave after his cheap shot on Ryan. Hall made a point of coming over and getting involved, and then he acted surprised that former teammates and others wanted him gone.”

DON BANKS, SPORTS ILLUSTRATED:

“And speaking of brainless, how transparent was it of Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall to go over and mix it up on the Atlanta sideline after Washington safety LaRon Landry got flagged for a late out of bounds hit on Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan? … Hall, the ex-Falcon who left Atlanta for Oakland in 2008 with bruised feelings intact, wound up pretty much tussling with Falcons head coach Mike Smith, who’s never afraid to mix it up. And here I thought it was Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff that Hall had a grudge against, given his pointed comments of last week.”

CHRIS NEEDHAM: NBCWASHINGTON.COM

How low was yesterday’s loss? We found out that even the Falcons’ coach is tougher than the Redskins. … DeAngelo Hall, the Skins cornerback, is afraid of the Falcons’ 50-year-old silver-haired head coach, Mike Smith. Smith, Hall alleges, roughed him up on the sideline during a skirmish and said a bad word to him. A bad word!”

BARRY SVRLUGA, WASHINGTON POST

“[Hall] has a penchant for drama, and though there were more costly plays in the Redskins’ 31-17 loss to the Falcons, none better typified Washington’s utter loss of self-control than Hall’s mix-up with the Atlanta coaching staff and players.”

Seems like very few are still in denial about who Hall really is.

Watch the video they grabbed him and pulled him around. I'm not defending him I'm just saying what I saw and when it looked like he was leaving the coach then grabed him.

Yeah, real tough guy stepping in with a 24-1 advantage.

Were there not enough verbs being properly conjugated on the Falcons boards that you felt the need to come hang out over here after a win?

look at the video, Hall was pulled in by one of your coaches and your players surrounded him. Hall jawed and made remarks, certainly stupid, but one of your coaches actually grabbed his jersey and pulled him further into your sideline.

...and you're defending Hall's actions why?

I like to debate with you all.. some of you are so delusional that you're sticking up for Hall.. that's always good for a laugh. At least some of you are bright enough to see Hall for what he is. (Love the Title of this thread)

If that's what you want to believe.. I saw it live and on video replay.. Hall is a punk and he instigated the entire mess.

So you came on a Redskins board to tell us Hall is a punk?

re: The D. Hall incident

Fact of the matter is, no one is defending Hall going over there and jawing it up. It was childish. My question is why is a Falcons fan defending 2 of his coach's equally inappropriate actions? A coach grabbing an opposing player's jersey is stupid, and a coach giving an opposing player an elbow to the face is equally stupid. (Watch the video in this thread somewhere around 16 seconds has a good view of the scene- focus on your HC Hall and the ref next to Hall try and ignore the rest while you watch, the ref turns away, and your HC purposely throws the elbow)

Yep everything you say is correct. Unfortunately we have some fans that think cause the skins paid him big money that he is some kind of superstar. I can't wait till they play Oakland and he tries that shit on their sideline. Tom "Jawbreaker, Womanbeater" Cable will kick his ass.
