Re: New coaches who?
John Gruden is not a good fit for the Redskins. His loud mouth arrogant bravado will not motivate these players. He lost the Tampa Bay team to a rookie coach because the team responded negatively to that approach. I would say Shanahan or Cowher to say the least. Russ Grimm has not been a head coach and there is a reason no team has given him a chance. Allow Sherman Smith to call the plays and take all playcalling duties from Zorn til he's replaced.

I remember the Ol' ball coach talking crap to other coach's who spend the week at the practice facility, and work 20 hour days, suggesting he would have none of that. I thought......"hmmm that may not be good" PLEASE....no more of that

Re: New coaches who?
Shanahan would be a good fit however he should demand that there be a team president/GM in place. Vinny can no longer run the show with Danny Boy.

I haven't given up on Zorn, it takes 3 years to put a new offense in place.

No more ex Skins guys. Coach Gibbs' second tour of duty with us was a mixed bag and he quit in the end. Like I said in the other thread, it doesn't matter who the coach is if the FO is terrible. |

Re: New coaches who?
At 1-2 you can't say dump the coach yet. Sure it was embarrassing losing to the Lions, but firing Zorn at his juncture will for one thing waste the season, and it will just scare away any potential succesors that might actually show some promise. Maybe with enough money you can lure some of the big names from the network studios, but I think most will stay right where th ey are. The one guy that will for sure come to DC is Shanny, the others already won their Lombardis and now are enjoying doing analysis in the studio.

Re: New coaches who?
I'm sure Snyder has already spoken to a potential coach, but when somebody accuses us of tampering it will turn out that we were just having dinner with his agent who represents someone else on the team.
