Seriously though, I don't think having four people with "Head Coach" in their job title on the same team works. At least not in the first year or two. I do think all of the coaches listed know what they're doing and have proven that their systems work in the NFL, but throwing them all into the same cluster F of an organization and telling them to play nice and fix it doesn't seem to be working. |

Re: 5 Most Important Players
1. Carlos Rogers(needs to step up)
2. Vernon Fox 3. Dockerys backup 4. Phillip Daniels(pass rush please!) 5. Renaldo Wynn(pass rush please!) Lets face it teams are only as strong as their weakest links. If these positions arent adressed we might have another early pick next year. |

Re: 5 Most Important Players
I understand the concept, and don't necessarily disagree to him being listed.
However, Gibbs has taken 3 QBs, mediocre or otherwise, to the Super Bowl. And he staked his reputation on a certain Mark Brunell... It's just hard for me to place faith on a kid who has 7 starts, when there are other holes. If this were a top 10 list, JC would be on mine...

Re: 5 Most Important Players
the original question posed was if we could only sign 5 players b/c of FA (this eliminates coaches and draft picks): <in no particular order>
- Clint Portis - Sean Taylor - Jason Campbell - Chris Samuels - Jon Jansen WR's & TE's are expendable cuz there are many ways to get production our of mediocre receivers; two offensive linemen IMO b/c they can help both the passing and running game; QB & RB both needed for a balanced offense; the secondary is the hardest place to find franchise level players on the defense and since none of our CB's are stellar u gotta go with Taylor...plus he is a freakin beast!

Re: 5 Most Important Players
The reason for my list and Campbell was if I want to sign people, I want to sign the young guys that will be the future of our team.

Re: 5 Most Important Players
Without the guys in the trenches, nothing gets done. The most important players are:
1) Chris Samuels 2) Randy Thomas 3) Jon Jansen 4) Clinton Portis 5) Sean Taylor
