he is a good coach, but the better part of 2006,the skins looked like shit, but that was on both sides of the ball, and in the lockerroom too!i just wonder what type of offense the redskins would run if saunders did leave?

Have you ever seen Bilichick is not Mr Personality.

If in 2007 our O is bad then I'll say your right but look at Gibbs first year in 04 and Gibbs and Co. added to the problems with a very short training camp. I don't think thing will be as slack as last year.

I think if Saunders left, we'd definitely see more of what we saw over the second half that made Betts so effective.

That being said, while I think Saunders is a candidate and a good offensive coach, I'm not 100% sold, as Matty pointed out, how good a head coach he would be. Could he be a good coach, probably so.

Would he be a playoff caliber coach, don't know?

Re: BREAKING NEWS: Bill Parcells Retires

I was rather suprised to see Parcells step down and leave the team he built for someone else to coach. I'm convinced his decision to leave had more to do with TO than anything else.

I don't think Jones is that dumb to let Parcells go over TO. Now if he feels that Parcells is not getting the job done then thats a different story.

I think it was more of a question of how much control Jones will give Parcells. It just came to a head on the TO issue.

You're right. Parcells, Jones, nor T.O. won't ever admit that, but I think that's the case.

But more than T.O. as an individual, I think Parcells has been turned off, in part by the media and their need to always have news or a story to report. Training camps around the NFL have turned into mini dramas that almost appear to be driven by TV ratings. Also I think he's just flat out tired of the culture in today's NFL where individuals command more attention than the team. Parcells never said that, but I think he's tired of doing other things besides 'coaching'.

That's great news for us, I'm glad B.P. is gone. Hopefully this sets the Cowboys back a couple of years.

Re: BREAKING NEWS: Bill Parcells Retires

I dont see how this is considered that good of news, what has Parcell done? they might get a coach that will be better than Parcells
If your a cowboy fan would you want gibbs to retire? 2 bad seasons, overpriced freeagent signings not working out,no gm,etc,if i'm cowboy fan I'm thinking let Joe keep running it,well, thats the way I feel about Parcells

Our luck he would leave and take the next team he coaches to the Superbowl.
