Re: With the 5th Pick, The Redskins Select...

He actually made a lot of open field tackles against RBs. They eventually lined up two linemen on him and DARED the WLB to make the tackle. If you notice when he finally "came on" he was getting crazy sacks and pressures and no one ran to that side. Later, they put another lineman on him and he's getting eaten up and Holdman couldn't make the tackle.

We will sign Nate Clements in the offseason, move Springs to SS safety. sign Hollis Thomas DT of New Orleans and draft Calvin Johnson if he falls to us. then we will cut Lloyd and Arch or package them for some picks.

Although we do need defense the temptation of the best WR in the draft since Randy moss to grow in this franchise with Campbell will be to tempting.

Damn man, I am dizzy with that predictions. But knwing this team, I could see somthing along those lines happening. I just hope we have learned our lesson again and will not just sign guys to these huge contracts. We do not need to make every player the highest paid in their position.

If Adams or Branch are not available I bet we trade down. We should probably trade down no matter what, but if Adams falls to us that would be my ideal. My least favorite option is the Penn State LB. He is nowhere near a top ten nfl draft pick in terms of raw talent. Don't give me that good insticts garbage either. He has a history of injury and is also undersized and is not all that fast. He will fall back on draft day.

That wont happen, If we cut Arch and Lloyd we will not have any cap space to sign are draft picks, let alone Nate Clements. I honestly believe Arch and Lloyd will both be on the team next year based on there contracts, it would really be dumb for us to cut either player as it would pretty much kill our cap situation. We really need to trade down and stock pile picks to build this awful defense.

Picking Johnson would be ridiculous. I remember a couple of years ago that many thought Mike Williams was the most talented player in the draft and lots of Skins fans were annoyed that we passed him up to take Rogers. Well, Rogers may still be a work in progress but Williams is a disaster.

I think our receivers will be fine as JC develops and anyone who has seen the Skins this year knows that we need help on defense first and foremost. DT, DE, ILB and CB. Personally, I think that a space eating DT would be ideal as improved performance from the front 4 would have a positive knock on effect on the rest of the D.

I'm guessing you haven't actually watched a Penn State game in the last 4 years? "The Penn State LB" won the Bednarik Award each of the last two years (once as an OLB, once as a MLB), and the Butkus last year. He's led Penn State in tackles each of the last 3 years and started every game in his sophmore, junior, and senior years. He's also a First Team Academic All American. And, he's never missed a game for injury. PLEASE, I'm begging you, give me the rundown of Posluszny's "history of injury". And 6-2, 240 lbs in college is undersized? You can't be serious. Not to mention he'd be the surest tackler on our team the minute he stepped on the field in training camp.

I'll admit that I'm biased, but I vote for Posluszny wherever we end up picking (whether we stay at 6 or trade down).

I can see Adam honestly paying to get out of here, like LaVar... We may keep lloyd.
I honestly think we have enough talent at Linebacker (if we put holdman on the bench). so sorry no Posluszny The DT from michigan would be my sure bet and sign clements. If we keep Adam switch him to linebacker or something becuase right now he's a waste of money!!

I thought he had a serious knee injury in the 2005 Orange Bowl, but I just read that it was only a partial tear of the MCL and Posterior Cruciate ligaments and it was only a two month rehab without surgery. Sure he won those prestigious COLLEGE awards, but have you seen the players on those lists? I really doubt he is actually 240 and I have no doubt that he doesn't have really good nfl speed. I bet he will run around the 4.7 mark although I could be proven wrong at his pro day. If we trade down a bit I would be happy with him and a high second rounder thats for sure.

I am actually impressed with this kid. I haven't been that impressed by a college LB since Arrington. Plus, that kind of name sounds like an old fashioned smash mouth player. (not that it's true...just sounds like one).
As long as we address the CB position in free agency, then I'll be more than happy with that pick...assuming he's still around.

Calvin Johnson is a MUCH better WR than Mike Williams was when he came out! If the FO is going to make a dumb decision, why not take the most gifted skill postion player in the draft? If they dont draft for defense, they've gotta take this guy! JC to CJ, what a duo!

No way...we've paid too much for Moss / ARE / Lloyd. That's too much money for a 4th receiver, and not enough room for him. Not a good idea.
Address ONLY the defense. Our offense is looking great for next season!

Re: With the 6th Pick, The Redskins Select...

We need depth pretty bad right now. I say we could trade back like three times and maybe pick somewhere at the end of the first round while aquiring a second, two thirds, and a fourth.
