IF I remember correctly Zorn took over a playoff team and went 8-8 and then 4-12. Cerratto and Zorn drove them into the ground.

Shanahan took over 4-12 team and......

IMO Shannahan has already lost the team with the way he's treated his players. We'll end up going 5-11 this year, our team is completely demoralized now.

I have to agree with you about the way he has handled the players. Sometimes it seems like Shanahan's ego is bigger then the team.
His message to the players seems more important than winning.

You know Devin Thomas was loving it today and I'm sure AH had that same feeling inside.

Man I get that 2, it seems as if he is still pissed from getting fired from Denver.

I does suck. After going 4-12 last season I was ok with going less than .500 this year as long as we are building for the future. I would like to the see the play of the team improve each week. Not decline!
I am also tired of Shanahan's coaching style. Or lack of it.
We would have never won three SB's if we had Shanahan instead of Gibbs. Shanahan benches players because they are injured or sick adn cannot practice. Gibbs would let Riggins, Jumpy Geathers and Schlerath to name a few sit out all week and play on Sunday. And they would kick ass in the game.
Hey Shanhan this is football and people get hurt. Moron. If they get better on Sunday...PLAY THEM!
Missing pracitce for a health reason is ok. Bench or deactivate a player because his play sucks, not because he can not practice.

in this case, he is punishing AH for his illness. Face it, they don't like each other and AH is gone after the season, if not sooner.

Proof that Shanahan's ego is more important than winning. If there was one game (Giants power running game) that we need AH, Shanahan deactivates him. Shanahan you win, you proved you point. Now check your ego at the door. Moron. And get rid is Hasslett. Your defense gave up 21 points in the first half on uncontested runs. Great defense!

Hell yeah some times these guys need some recovery time, I just dont understand his way of thinking. I know for the last few years alot of our players took to practicing like it was a waste of time. But **** you got Heyer in there when Trent is suited up and looks like he is waiting for his number to be called.

He should be placed on IR so we can we bring someone else in somewheres. Wouldn't you think.

The thing I remember hearing before the Redskins hired him, was the media and all the "know it all professionals" saying how Shanahan having been out of football for a year how hungry he was, how much research he had done on offense and defense. Well, let's see some results.

it's weird isn't it? i used to be so invested in these games but now i could almost care less. i'm just pissed that the college season is over now the nfl is the only place for football, i can't wait til the bowl season gets underway.

Re: Week 13: Redskins vs. Giants Gameday thread

I expected a struggle with the Giants. The Redskins are a depleted team [that's no excuse] but even with a full deck they would have had their hands full with a Giants team clearly at this stage is the better football team. Once again they didn't seem prepared, played with little emotion and turned the ball over six times. That's a formula for losing in any league. We have an up-hill battle to reach respectability.
