Each black quarterback in the National Football League at some point in his career has been encouraged to move from the position and use his athleticism at skilled spots like running back or wide receiver. Not one has failed to hear the cutting words that he is a better runner than he is a pure passer. Each one has faced his share of brutal jabs about reading defenses poorly, the inference being that black quarterbacks are not mentally up to the task.

Are you really insinuating that Jeff Fisher benched Vince Young because he's black?

With every post you write you are ruining whatever shred of credibility you have on these boards.

I'm not the one who said that Vince Young sucked and he's a bust. I'm using numbers and accomplishments to back up my arguments, unlike the Vince Young detractors on this board. The NFL is a game of numbers, if one refuses to objectively judge someone based on what they accomplished, then what exactly are they basing their conclusions on? If history is any indicator, then the issue of race is obviously playing a factor. McNabb even said it himself. So I guess you think McNabb is a racist too heh?

Even the people on this board overwhelmingly thought that Matt Leinert and Brady Quinn would be better NFL QB's than VY. Despite VY having a winning record, throwing for more yards and TD's, and beating Leinert each and every-time they've played. So I ask you again, what was everyone basing their opinions on? It surely wasn't the numbers.

As amazing as we looked tonight, A healthy CP really makes the offense look unstoppable. After watching him for the short time he was in, I really miss him.

Re: Redskins @ Titans game thread

My thoughts on this game today;
- We were the better team, especially with almost half of our starters out
- Cooley played phenomenal
- OL still needs to be address for atleast the next 4 years in the draft.

Right now, our playoff hopes are still alive, although being that the Eagles and Giants are great teams, I don't see us getting in based on the power of teams in the NFC.

on a side note, how bout the new york jets? not even a fan but man they just find ways to win.

I'm not going to get into this with you, especially considering that I don't think Vince Young is a bust, he's just an immature kid with a lot of talent. But you have to understand coaches demand accountability and professionalism, especially Jeff Fisher, and Vince Young acting like a dumb and immature kid while being his starting quarterback isn't going to sit well with him. Having Young in the game gives them a better chance to win, but coaches don't always think along those lines, they want and expect you to act in a professional manner, and when you don't, well there's got to be punishment.

And just because McNabb said it himself doesn't make it true. Do you think Mike Shanahan is a racist because he benched McNabb? McNabb just has an opinion, and you need to recognize that his opinion is not recognized as a fact. Is there racism in the NFL? Maybe, I don't know. But I do know coaches like Jeff Fisher have rules and standards that have to be followed, and when you don't follow them, you pay the price.

Sanchez came through in the clutch. That was a big-time throw he made to Braylon. That kid is money, despite his inconsistent play, he's a winner.

Me too, his uncanny ability to pick the blitzes and assist us in the passing game is paramount. He looked like the Portis of old today.
