Re: The Official 2010 Training Camp Thread

I'd say as far as WR's go we should keep Moss,Thomas,Williams,Banks,Austin. Maybe somehow get Galloway on the team but I think Austin can be as explosive as Joey can. When you have Young burners on your team that are playmakers, you need to keep them around.

Re: The Official 2010 Training Camp Thread

I came here to talk about how weird it was that I had to go almost 7-8 pages on PFT before any news on the Skins and it was the signing of the long snapper and a page later AH's comment on how he likes the defense. lol. It seemed the Skins made a post on every page prior to camp, mostly about AH but still. Even yrs past we had a lot of media coverage. I almost kinda like it.

Now for my after week 1 WR keepers and cuts:

WR Keepers:
Moss (don't know why although he had a dirt ball)
Galloway (who did better getting open)
Armstrong ( he was a beast. he's are big go to guys this yr)
R.Williams ( he ran good routes and played well also)
Thomas ( I still think he has the "it" but he needs to step it up)

Cuts:
Kelly ( just never healthy. time to cut bait)
Furry ( injured. need to see something)
Wade ( not sure what he was doing other then creating penalties)

I think Austin we'll have to see what he gives in future games otherwise I'd put him on the practice squad just to keep him in case a player got hurt.

I think Banks lands a spot as the KR/PR if he stays healthy and doesn't drop the ball. Remember Shanahan drafted Alridge as a speeder RB while at Denver and I bet we would still be here had he not continued dropping the ball. Banks will be used. I foresee Shanahan using him as the KR/PR right now, then possibly the scat back if needed, and lastly in the Wild Cat. Remember last week he lined up a couple of times like that and even Shanahan said he was afraid the media would write about it....why? cause he wants a trick play other teams are not expecting. or so I presume.

Banks will take up one of the extra position spots just to have a PR/KR as long as he stays healthy and keep running the ball well.

Edit: I left Hodge out for a reason. Did he even play last week? I would like to see more of him before I simply throw him out. Hopefully the next 2 weeks give all the WR's a good showing so Shanahan has a hard time picking. Otherwise it's picking the best of the worst.

What I don't get is that we have drugs like Viagra that can make a man stiff for hours but we dont have anything for loosening up a hamstring. You would have thought that after the 2007 and 2008 seasons Dan Snyder would have had a patent on that shit.

You know what's funny, I haven't looked at our schedule once since it's been released.

They're using one of my tweets on TCD on CSN at 7!

It was nothing special but will be cool to be featured instead of just on the ticker

Re: The Official 2010 Training Camp Thread

Trent Williams got a reckless driving ticket back in June and is going to court for it soon. Nothing BIG but just a minor concern.
