Re: DeSean Jackson meeting with the Redskins on Monday
I know, I don't think they are as serious as their fans are (my gut feeling), if he was in LA and they wanted him, they wouldn't have let him walk in the Redskins door.
edit: I also don't know that they have the pull for Djax, instead playing against Kelly 2x's, he would be playing against Reid, and I think he likes Reid. I doubt that factors very much at all, but it's just one more reason I like to use to find a happy place |

Re: DeSean Jackson meeting with the Redskins on Monday
On one hand all the reports seem to indicate the Redskins are the overwhelming favorite. However I remember the last time we thought we had a prominent mid-free agency player in the bag (though he wasn't a free agent at the time) in Jay Cutler before the Bears came in and swept him out from under us. Then again thanks to that we were able to get RG3 three short years later.

Re: DeSean Jackson meeting with the Redskins on Monday
Certainly normal and appropriate workplace conduct. I don't get why anyone would be offended by that. It's like come on can't you take a simple joke, gosh stop being so butthurt.

Re: DeSean Jackson meeting with the Redskins on Monday
it's all good!
At this point I think it's fair to say that the Redskins and Desean want to work it out, but the Skins aren't going to just write a blank check future ending contract. I think that's a good thing, and if he signs, or if he doesn't sign, the Skins FO looks like they did things differently then in the past. As I look into my crystal ball, I could see heavy use of not likely to be earned bonus money. The advantage there is it's a delayed cap hit, AND, if Djax is playing lights out, he gets the paydays he wants. But, and this may be why it takes so long, everyone has to be on the same page of what the end goal is. I think the Skins are looking at it from your point of view, man we don't want to be reliving this contract situation every year, and so they are trying to structure it to give some cushion against that. But they also want him here. Meantime, we sit and wait and refresh, hoping that our team does the right thing the right way. |
