Santonio for AH straight up would be a no-brainer. Trouble is the Jets have zero interest in AH and they LOVE Santonio. Pipe dream over.

Don't they play 3-4 defense?

Well the Jets signed Howard Green, so they kind of got a former Redskins DT

Honestly, I think Shannahan is just running this crap into the ground. According to the players, they stand behind AH and i think they are just getting tired of all this crap. He is the best D-lineman we have. I dont care what anyone says, he is our best. Just put the shit behind us, line him up at DE and let the dude play. all this stuff is just hurting the team. He is truly ready to play the DE position and go. why they keep messing with his head and putting him in on only 16 plays and doing the NT thing is absolutely mind boggling. Shanny's ego is that big?? This just needs to be squashed, play the man at DE and lets have a dominant D and let AH see how dominant he can be. And when he see's this maybe next year (if he's still here) wont be that big of a deal.

The man is a beast. So you have to stroke his ego a bit, but I think all this "it is my team, and you'll do what i tell you to" stuff from shanny is just getting old.

Did you see him play against Dallas, or the entire preseason? He may be the most talented DL, but he's certainly not playing like it. I really hope we unload him before the trade deadline. He's dead weight in this scheme. Not saying it's anybody's fault, he's just not a fit here. If this staff was here last year there's no way he would have been brought in.

When the need arises things change. Howard Green played in twelve games for them last year.

Dude, it IS his ****ing team. These goddamn prima donna players think they can do what's best for themselves all the time, holding out, play when they want, run some routes, not others... You need a coach like Shanahan, Belichick, etc that's got the balls to put the team first and sit these clowns down.

I don't know how you define "best", but it sure ain't AH. That is one un-inspired mo'fo right now. Truth is if you can't inspired over $21 mil in the bank, you're going to suddenly turn it on in a system that suits you and click back into Pro Bowl form? I think not. And I'm guessing most of the GMs in the NFL are thinking the same thing.

We can beat this Haynesworth drum until the cows come home, but his value has plummeted like a bad penny stock. All this talk about him being a beast, he's dominate, he's this and that. Puh-lease, give me a break.

Dominant is what dominant does.

No one cares what you did in the NFL yesterday. The NFL is all about right now.

Imagine that, a coach running the show.

Apparently he's not committed to practicing. Bottom line is: he doesn't work hard. What kind of message would it send to the others who work harder, if they are benched in favor of AH?

In any case, he's wants to shoot gaps, not tie up blockers, and 3-4 linemen need to tie up blockers.

Why would they want a guy that hates playing in 3-4 defense and is obviously not motivated to play?

I am not saying what AH is right, at all believe me. I was one of the ship his ass out, or bench him for the rest of the contract. But, i just think this has gone way too damn far. I just think now its about making him look bad than anything else. I understand its HIS team, and I like shanny, but this seems to be more personal than anything related to his "football" ability.

Do you think he forgot how to play football in one offseason? They guy was one of the best D-lineman in football for the past 3-4 years. He was maybe short of great for us last year (when on the field) proof is in the fact that Carter had career high in sacks, orakpo as a rookie had 11 sacks. The guy didn't forget how to play. yeah his attitude has sucked, and I was pissed just the same as everyone else. But like I said previously, he is the most talented big man up front we have, and according to MOST if not ALL of the NFL people one of the most talented in all the NFL. I just think it is more personal than anything else right now. We all know that if they put him on the end and let him play the DE position everyone would be happy. But they keep lining him up at NT just to piss him off. You can't tell me that he isn't better than Gholston, better than Adam Cariker, Better than Holliday....come on lets get real. He is better than all those dudes and you know it. They players are getting tired of all the shit too. McNabb, Cooley, Daniels, all leaders of the team are stepping up for Albert, saying they are behind him 100%. Far cry from what everyone was saying during the offseason.
