You're assuming that coaches are never wrong. In theory though Collins would bring a quicker release and wouldn't struggle as much when it comes to reading defenses. Again only theory but if you were to put Collins in that would be why. You're essentially giving up the big arm in hopes that you're putting in a QB that will be better able to dissect the defense.

Re: Campbell's numbers dont lie

calling for todd collins to start is silly... this guy was a career saunders-system backup for a reason... and even if he somehow was a better option than jc, he would not have helped this team in the first half in the slightest... when you constantly run the ball on first and second down with little success and are, as a result, putting your qb in third and long sutiuations, he will often be unsuccessful, be he drew brees or a qb with a great offensive line...

the interceptions weren't good, but they were a result of jc trying to make plays, something we were screaming for him to do... and i'm glad he was feeling bold, that pass to moss was perfect... i'll take two pics for a 60-yard touchdown...

we can all agree that campbell will never be peyton manning... but, he's our qb this whole season whether you like it or not... so, constantly dumping on him after after every play/game isn't going to get you anywhere... relax and support him for 12 more games... he won't be our qb next year, regardless...

You can blame Zorn for it if you like, I am fine with that explanation, but he is not the future at QB for this franchise. The numbers today just support what has been a problem all year. And this is coming from someone who was a big time Campbell fan for a long time.
He is what he is. I don't blame the INT on the pass to Kelly on him, and was stoked that he finally threw that pass and actually put in a place that the receiver at least had a chance to make a play.

But everything else is on him. I was sitting in a lower level suite behind the end zone and you could see guys open downfield all day. The pass to Cooley that got broken up at the 5 was throw WAY TOO LATE. Cooley was wide open for about 10 yards, but Campbell threw it too late and with too much air under it. Very frustrating to watch him miss play after play. I agree that he won't be our starter next year or anyone's for that matter.

Wow, Chicago thumped the Lions today and put up 48 in the process. So they really are shitty.

Our recieving corp has been a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE disappointment so far this year. We dont have a second receiver ever on the field. Thank god for Cooley.
Seriously. Good receivers are the key. Just look at the Pats when they won 3 Super Bowls and the Titans last year. Their Hall of Fame receivers really carried them.

I was really happy for Steve McNair when he and the Titans won the super bowl last year.

One bad half, one good half. I'm calling it a wash. More importantly, we won.

I think people really need to stop over analyzing the QB play.

NO but good coaching (spying) and two good RBs will do it.
