Re: Snyder (the absolute worst owner in all of sports) to stay on a owner
These are my thoughts, for the most part, also. However, there is a lot of smoke right now. A lot of people wanna see this upcoming report. If it is incriminating and unbiased, I could see it being enough for him to be gone. No one should doubt the level of his actions. There could be stuff come out that could be new also. Remember, the last investigation yielded a result of selling the team recommendation.

As a group, the owners probably have more skeletons in their closets than are buried in Congressional Cemetery. In this election year, I expect the committee members to skewer Snyder and Goodell and possibly to ask the DOJ to open an investigation of the NFL. This time the owners' best bet is not to circle the wagons but to sacrifice Snyder and Goodell both as the rest of them quietly make their escapes. |

Maybe "heat" would be more appropriate than "smoke". They might cut him lose if their own ass is sweating...

Re: Snyder (the absolute worst owner in all of sports) to stay on a owner
Replicating this post from another thread, thought we might try to separate discussions:
Snyder is getting subpeona'ed I know we're all in "believe it when I see it" mode, which is fair. But it's also fair to say we are closer to the owners switching from "don't want to be next so not gonna oust him" to "jeez need to oust him now or who knows who's next" than we're ever been. How close is the question. The new allegations directly accusing Snyder in the private plane incident may also have an impact. ("According to the documents, the allegations include the team owner “asking her for sex, groping her and attempting to remove her clothes.”")

Re: Snyder (the absolute worst owner in all of sports) to stay on a owner
Surely all the other owners have skeletons in their closet, but for the most part they function at a much higher level than Dan and are able to keep the closet doors shut. We know that what they hate about Snyder are not his skeletons but the fact that he keeps letting them out and dance around. Maybe Dan has damaging info on the other owners, but it’s reasonable to conclude that they have much more damaging information on him. The video of the nude cheerleaders is just one example of something about which they have significantly more information than is publicly known. I’m talking potentially jailable offenses. If they want to get rid of him as an owner, they have the ammunition to make sure he keeps his mouth shut afterward.

I'll have to watch!
Dan's a little bitch. Page 177 of David Pauke’s deposition… related to pouring milk on the carpet under the seating in Mark Lerner’s suite so the suite would smell like sour milk on game day. “I did it because Dan [Snyder] told me to do it.” https://www.reddit.com/r/Commanders/...on_related_to/ |

Of course he would do it when no one was looking and of course he would have someone else do it. He is such a little bitch.

How does Snyder find any joy in being the owner of the team?

It amazes me to know Snyder is such a petty little bitch.
Like the thought never crossed his mind that 10 different stadium workers would cross the smelly carpet before the Lerners ever stepped foot in the suite. As long as he is in charge this team will never change.

Re: Snyder (the absolute worst owner in all of sports) to stay on a owner
I'm starting to get the feeling that this will be over 'soon'. The ice is breaking and Dan's about to fall right through it. He will put up a fight, but I think the inevitability is starting to set in for me. I just don't see how the NFL (owners / Goodell) can be ok with one of their franchises being dragged through the mud, with the biggest of spotlights on it. The only thing Snyder is trying to hang his hat on is this supposed culture change that is underway. Almost acknowledging all the wrongdoings and shenanigans in the past, but promising that things are changing. The problem with that is, you can't ignore the past - which every day looks worse and worse; and a leopard doesn't change it's spots. Dan is Dan - and that will never change. Thus the culture will never truly change. I have a feeling there are legit discussions regarding how and when to remove him. I think it's just a matter of time.

The more I think about it, the more it makes me wonder how Gibbs ever came back and worked for this guy. Maybe he didn't truly know how evil Dan was, but he certainly did when he left...and then to influence Ron or anyone to take a job here? That just baffles me that he would do that.

Re: Snyder (the absolute worst owner in all of sports) to stay on a owner
I realize many fans just don't like the Owners and assume all are Billionaires and little rich kids but truth is a few of these teams are owned by groups and not just one person and yes while the team is worth Billions the Owners might not be. I agree some Owners might have shit to hide but to assume all owners are bad because they are NFL Owners is BS. Don't get me wrong fans can dislike who ever they want but lets not assume all do the same BS as this guy or that guy.
