Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason

Wonder how long it will take Urban Meyer and Trevor Lawrence to get tired of losing. Lawrence will have lost more games in the first 6 weeks in the NFL than his entire HS and college career. Will one or two bad losing years for Urban Meyer make him throw the towel in ala Steve Spurrier

Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason

The Jags could have a sneaky good offense assuming Lawrence hits the ground running.

They might be in the easiest division. Indy is okay. Tennessee can't play D and Houston is in turmoil

Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason

I think the Jags could have some success early...ala Chip Kelly when he took over the eagles and even with RGIII to an extent. The offense will be somewhat unique and different, so it will take part of the season for defenses to get a hold on it...assuming Lawrence plays decent. If they have both their games against Houston and a few other bottom division teams in the first 8 games, they could be 4-4 I think. They'll be interesting if nothing else...which is something they haven't been in a long time.

Travis Etienne and James Robinson might be the best 1-2 RB duo in the NFL

Add in Lawrence, Tebow and at WR they have DJ Chark, Marvin Jones and Phillip Dorsett.

I will always have fond memories of 2012.

IMO I think the success could have been more long term if:
a. RG3 wasn't such a diva and wanted to be exclusively a pocket passer
b. He didn't suffer a debilitating injury trying to be a pocket passer in the playoff game

Kyle was the right coach with the right mindset what a shame. Hard to believe that was almost a decade ago

Agree with all players except for Tebow.. It's laughable for anyone to expect anything from Tebow at this point. The Jags offense will be interesting to watch this fall.

Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason

Oh my gosh...horrible. No cause of death reported. I hope it wasn't suicide, he had some issues.

He's a Warpath Legend.

I always wished he had more of a shot to see what he could do in the regular season with us. Couldn't have been worse than Jason Campbell, Todd Collins, Rex Grossman and John Beck but could have been better, or at least more fun to watch.

Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason

Hurts dropping the deuce for #1 with Slay taking the #2.

Robert Woods

Sterling Shepherd

Safety Jordan Fuller

Mark Ingram

Zach Wilson not keeping his college #1.

And for our own Humpy, #10 was not available.

The Packers have signed Bortles. I can just picture Rodgers laughing into his beer.
