Re: Jets In The Market For Qb!

Just kind of an afterthought here...

...but isn't it funny how quickly all the allegiances to Ramsey changed when Brunell won the Cowboys game?

Now we're like, "Hmmm, what can we get for Ramsey?"

Pennington is hurt in a bad way. in a nervous, semi-permanent way unfortunately. even healthy though, Chris Carter said it best "he packs a water gun". i think Ramsey would be a real nice pickup for them, for anybody really (except in the NFC East booo), with the water cannon he's got.

Human nature my friend, human nature.....

What's funny is some of us were calling Gibbs a hypocrite a little over two weeks ago. I wonder how many of those fans are now endorsing a Ramsey trade.

The other thing about Chad's injury, maybe it's been mentioned, but it takes significant time off to heal properly...and unfortunately for him the offseason may not have been enough time....and surely regular season won't help if continues to take snaps.

As one of those people who were pissed at Gibbs and now endorsing a trade, heres my reasons for that. It has nothing to do with Gibbs, just everything to do with the Redskins. I still dont like Gibbs decision making with Ramsey, I still belive Ramsey is the best QB on our team, and until he really proves for at least a few games that he dosent suck, I think Brunell still does. However, I also belive that we have seen the last of Ramsey as a Redskin. Therefore, instead of just letting him leave, I figure we mine as well get somthing in return for him. If it were up to me though, Ramsey would be starting vs Seattle this week.

jeez here we are trying to "get over it" and "stop second guessing coach Gibbs" by trying to think of the most positive thing out of benching Ramsey.

if i had my way, Ramsey would be the starter both last year and this year, but as everyone here never ceases to remind me, "i'm not the coach, deal with it". Gibbs hates Ramsey. so we're dealing with it, what can we get for him? we're skins fans first, then Ramsey fans. why don't we just ban the R-word here unless you've hated him from the beginining.

Any chance Laverneus is wishing that he had that 42'' plasma screen instead of that trade now?

Jay Gruden = Zorny McSpurrier
Kirk Cousins = Next Grossman

Re: Jets In The Market For Qb!

give them what they want for abraham. what ever they want

Really though i would do it for a number 2 pick, but nothing less. I don't really access trades well, i always think that something will happen but this time i just don't think that we are gonna trade ramsey, i just don't think we are gonna do that.

we put gasoline on a guys confidence and light it... and now you expect him to give a 100% as a backup? No better time than now for good ol' campbell to learn the ropes

I hope we don't trade a quarterback of such great potential value.

Re: Jets In The Market For Qb!

unless brunell doesn't break his old back or get hurt within the next 4 weeks ramsey is done as a skin, the only thing we are risking is looking like fools when ramsey starts hooking up with receivers if he ends up on another team. His potential value means jack shit in terms of being a redskin.

Re: Jets In The Market For Qb!

I agee BigSkin, at this point Ramsey has no value to the team...in terms of the future that is. And a team in dire need of a QB right now may be willing to part with a higher pick than later on after the season ends when more talent may be available.

This may be our and Patrick's window of opportunity.

i'd expect Ramsey to give 200%. at the very least to show his worth to the league, since Gibbs apparently already moved on.
