Re: Cap Update
We're already taking a huge cap hit for Coles, we can't release Brunell.

Re: Cap Update

Re: Cap Update
Does anyone know what our cap figure would be after trading Coles? I know we don't know Moss' numbers yet, but I'm curious to know how much room we've got even without considering Moss' contract.

Re: Cap Update
hey canuck can you tell what the cap is now that coles is gone, and what it would be once moss signs a contract extension for say, 5 years?

Re: Cap Update
I think it's a little difficult to say what Moss is worth. He had a bad year in 2004, but his 2003 number suggets he'd command a fairly decent sized signing bonus. Plus, Drew Rosenhaus is his agent and he usually gets his clients big bucks. Finally, if Moss signs a 5 year deal (and it will probably be 6), this is his only "big" contract as a wideout. It's his only chance to make a lot of money.
So, my guess is he'll end up getting a signing bonus of about $8 million (about half of what top wideouts like TO get) on a 6 year deal worth $28 million. |

Barrow even though he was injured at least was on the sideline for each and every game. Most injury guys do not even hang with the team. In Brunnel we have a very expensive back up so I think they will wait till the cap number is doable to release him. And of one more note if you get rid of Morton then Matty has no choice but to eliminate is Avatar!!
