Re: nfl top 100 2012

I heard Fletch was #87 through the Redskins on FB. That's not bad. Better than having McNabb on there last time at #100.

I watched it last night and the narrator said "Who is the first of the Redskins to make the list" Implying that more than one skin has made the list. They showed pictures of Fletcher (who made it ) Brian Orakpo, and DHall. I think Brian will be the other and last redskin to make it.

Re: nfl top 100 2012

I'm sorry, but how does desean Jackson make this list at all..much less at 71. Last year the dude started 15 games yet was 27th in the league for yds/game, 46th in receptions, 17 in yds/reception (only including players with 25 or more receptions), 69th in Touchdowns, and 56th in yds/punt return. Keep in mind for that last rank...there are only 32 teams in the nfl.

71st best player in the league? the dude hasn't shown himself to be top 20 at his own position...and he has vick throwing to him with shady to keep the pressure off the pass game.

When people often judge a player, they are looking at what he's done prior to last season. DeSean Jackson has played greatly for the Eagles ever since he was drafted in the 2nd round in 2008. His level of play probably slacked off in 2011, but in 2008, 2009, and 2010 the dude was a beast.

Yeah, it's all about the "what was", not "what is", which is why fans usually have trouble with accepting the notion of letting go of players too soon. They'd rather have a player for too long than too little, even to the detriment of the team, because of the attachment to "what was".

The dudes career high in recieving yds would have been 14th this year, and his career high in recieving tds (in a different year) would have been 9th this year. His career high in receptions...41st this year. 3/4 of his years...his fumbles would have been first this year. I'm not saying he's junk, but that's not a resume that deems being in the top 100 based on past accomplishments.

well explained. No eagle should ever be in the top 100. No cowboy or giant should for that matter. They all suck, and every win they get is just pure luck. I hate them all.

Remember players vote on this right? So if that's the case then Jackson is respected by his peers

I will never forget that 80-something yard TD catch on the very first play from scrimmage on that Monday Night game against the Redskins in 2010. DeSean Jackson scorched LaRon Landry, a safety that plays excellently against the run but poorly against the pass.

^ The way Mike Vick played that night is what I expect RG3 to do many times in his career.
