But seriously, I doubt Newtonium or Jimmy-boy is going to wow anyone and Steve Smith is probably going to get injured again. So all teams have to do is stack 8-in-the-box and be done with them.

Re: 2011 Playoff Projections
Sorry to put this on this thread but you need to watch the NFL channel and see Steve Mariucci speak about the Redskins/MS/BA plan good stuff.

Re: 2011 Playoff Projections
Add another game in the CBA just so the skins can go 17-0 in the regular season

Re: 2011 Playoff Projections
I'm going with my system until I see the preseason. I can usually improve on these projections by adding bits and pieces of information I pick up from the preseason.
AFC: 1. Steelers 2. Colts 3. Patriots 4. Chargers 5. Ravens 6. Texans NFC: 1. Saints 2. Packers 3. Eagles 4. Cardinals 5. Giants 6. Cowboys Good news for the Redskins here, if they can get to third place, it might be good enough for a totally not deserved playoff spot. It's going to be tough to stay out of the cellar this year, but 9-7 in this division probably does it.

Re: 2011 Playoff Projections
God the Raiders are just totally loaded at the wide receiver position. I'm almost certain they're going to find a way to make the playoffs. There's just no spot for them in my projections: the Chargers win the West, the Ravens and the Steelers play fictitiously easy schedules this year (as do the far less talented Browns), and the system really likes the Texans defense (seriously). So that's six playoff teams right there. I just think the Raiders are loaded.

Re: 2011 Playoff Projections
I was being serious. If you throw DHB out of the equation, it's Jacoby Ford, Chaz Schilens, Louis Murphy and they've got Denarius Moore as well. Sure, that's not the Packers level of dominant, but who is? The big thing for the Raiders, re: loaded is that everyone is 25 or younger.
They also are loaded in the front seven, but that's more well known, I believe. Their OL projection is holding them back. They might not be able to block anyone all year.

Re: 2011 Playoff Projections
Maybe if you're looking for a bunch of midlevel guys in your Madden franchise to turn into pro bowlers but I don't like that corps in real life. Well maybe like, but certainly not love and even then I'm not about to pin the success of any team on a receiving corps outside of Arizona circa 2008.

Re: 2011 Playoff Projections
Yeah I mean who does Oakland have that's any good at WR? Ford is a special teamer so far and the other guys have done nothing

Re: 2011 Playoff Projections
Lesson here: people think all young players haven't done anything.

Re: 2011 Playoff Projections
I'll try to put it another way. I like Ford, Murphy, Schilens, DHB, Moore a lot more than I like Roddy White, Julio Jones, Harry Douglas, Eric Weems. I don't think it's even close.
