This thread topic was not just to look ahead but first look back, recognize where we are and where we could possibly going into our second half of the season after we have had a chance to regroup during the bye. Its easily a valid thread. To say this is a look ahead to next game, well not really like the "Its effing whatever week" thread. Read the opening post. To the "enjoy our win for a day" before looking ahead. I think enjoying the win is what Ace is doing, being optomistic, looking at our position and the position of the upcoming opponents saying hey we could come out in a strong position looking at this and that... or should I enjoy the win by building an arguement why Haslett should be fired, why our FO sux because we let Lloyd go or why Devin Thomas is a bust?

I have a good feeling about the Colts game, slightly worried that Forte will run all over us and hope we exact serious revenge on the Lions

Re: OK guys! 3 more games until the BYE Week.
Personally, having squeaked in a win doesn't necessarily makes us dominant enough to predict any winning streak. The way that the NFL is going right now, it is very hard to make any predictions period, teams that were dominant one week sucked the next, and teams that sucked one win, manage a big win the next (see AZ and Oakland).
And once again, as someone said staring a thread just to start a thread is just stupid.

Re: OK guys! 3 more games until the BYE Week.
Colts can definitely be had. And really it's not about keep Peyton Manning from tossing the ball for three or four hundred yards, let's just keep them out of the end zone like we've been doing. But they definitely have some holes in the secondary with Bullit and Sanders (cut) gone for the year.

A few weeks ago, I was scared about the schedule coming up...the Packers, Colts and Bears stretch. We manhandled the Packers, look at their injury report, and won. The Colts are looking uncharacteristically beatable. They lost to the Jags and have not looked very convincing in their wins. They're beat up worse than the Packers coming into the Skins game...Addai and his backup Donald Brown could miss the game, leaving Mike Hart to start. Even if Addai goes, he'll be limited. Their defense is missing a lot of key players, mainly in the secondary that is as beat up as Green Bay's. Chicago went from looking like world-beaters to...well, what we expected from them. Cutler started to come back down to Earth, then was injured. Their running game is effective, but their passing game is nonexistent with Collins in and feast-or-famine with Cutler in, with more famines due. They're one dimensional. Only their defense has been effective. Scoring 13 points could beat them. The Lions won't beat us this year. Yes, they destroyed the Rams that beat us...but we didn't show up that day, plain and simple. I don't think Coach Shanahan will allow that to happen again after that embarrassment. If not for the stupid kicker-icing tactic and the rule (or lack of) allowing it...we'd be 4-1. I expect us to win 2/3 or maybe all 3 of these upcoming games.
