Re: Redskins Uniforms
Maybe, but that would just look like a stripped-down version of the current.

Re: Redskins Uniforms
Maroon, black, and yellow!
I love our uniforms. I hate the Florida State spear. The current logo is timeless. I love the three stripes over the top. I appreciate the simple design of the pants and jerseys, rather than the cluster like say Bills.

Re: Redskins Uniforms
I like this allot, but if you think the Native Americans have a problem with what we have now this would make it worse. He looks angry almost like Hellboy. |

Re: Redskins Uniforms
That's the thing, most Native Americans DO NOT have a problem...many that have an opinion feel more honored than offended.
It's the white people who are offended. Go figure. If the Cleveland Indians' Chief Wahoo has survived this long, we have nothing to worry about...except being in D.C. I suppose, which will make us a target forever.

SO many people call it an FSU look, I'm sick of it (nothing personal towards you) Here's FSU in 1971-'74: They didn't rip off the Redskins until about 1976 I believe...11 years after we first wore it. Real Stuff Sports Serving Collectors Since 1980 Man, they had some UGLY helmets.

I hate to say it but I agree that the spear has become too associated with FSU regardless of who had it first. And the fact that we have a very similar color scheme doesn't help in the least. I think most people see that helmet and automatically think "Florida State" not "throwback Redskins."

I like this helmet a lot, and I'd love to see it matched with the 70th anniversary throw-back uniforms. But yes, I could see this stirring a little controversy. This helmet or not, I very much agree with those who have plugged the 70th anniversary uniforms. Those were fantastic. On the other hand, I think the all-burgundy uni created a new scale of ugly and rivaled in its awfulness some of 70s MLB uniforms (minus the excuse of "Well, it was the 70s after all"). |

I like the Pro Combat uniforms particulary the subdued black (flat black) helmets that VT was wearing the other night. |

Regarding an earlier post by Buster, I think Jags have by far the best helmets in the league. Love their colors.

Uniforms are a mess, the piping or number positioning is not even consistent. I saw different players with different-looking jerseys, but that's more of a manufacturing problem than a design flaw I guess.

Re: Redskins Uniforms
I loved the flat black helmets as well. Incidentally flat black is the latest “old school” trend in hot rods now a days; perhaps they were influenced by that?
