It doesn't really matter who catches it. It's the feat that counts.

Re: OM FIELD: Is Jay Cutler Worth the Risk?
If we have to give up two first round picks in back to back years then Cutler isn't worth the deal. Keep JC, see if he does improve this season and then go to Brennan and manuever to get McCoy or Bramford in 2010. If next year is a wash give Colt playing time in the last couple games for evaluation purposes. If we knew the cap was a thing of the past for sure, I would resign JC to a 2 year extension, get a whizkid QB in 2010 and we should be OK. The thing that is bothering me is why all the BS with the JC is our boy crap. I know you don't want to announce it to the world if you are going for Cutler, but you don't have to lie and jerk folks around. Just keep mum!!! I don't think our FO and Owner are on the same page and that doesn't bode well for us.

The price is too steep for Cutler, keep JC. Pick up a QB in the draft next year, if he doesn't perform up to par.

Re: OM FIELD: Is Jay Cutler Worth the Risk?
hey... i'm a noob, here...
sorry, to bump this thread if everyone is sick of talking about this... just wanted to give my 2 cents the cutler risk... i'm not sure if someone has brought this up already, if so, i apologize, but most skins fans i talk to don't even realize that: we already gave the broncos three picks for the first rounder we used on jason in 2005... if we did the same trade that the bears did, we'd, in essence, be trading SIX picks (including THREE first rounders) for cutler and a fifth... i don't care if you're joe-brady-manning-unitas-montana, no one is worth that many draft picks... i recently watched the nfl replay of the games at dallas and at philly... watch those games and tell me that jason doesn't have the potential to be an all-pro QB... i'm predicting a great season for him... thanks... |
