Re: Free Agency and Salary Cap
I read somewhere yesterday that the Giants were rumored to be interested in haynesworth. If thats true, they are obiouvly the more attractive destination for haynesworth.

Re: Free Agency and Salary Cap
Interested or not, I'm sure they would be happy to drive the price up.

Re: Free Agency and Salary Cap
Just days ago, the market for Hayensworth was only 2 teams and the buzz was minimal..As soon as the report came out that the skins owner was having dinner with his agent, the 100 million dollar talk started. Truth is we really dont have the cap space, all of us would love to sign him but there are several other teams with 30-50 million in cap space..After we tender our free agents, we have little room. It hypes his buzz around the league, but doesnt seem realistic

Re: Free Agency and Salary Cap
I'd hate to see him go there. Doesn't seem like their style though to spend big $$ on a FA. We'll see though.

Re: Free Agency and Salary Cap
If this were to happen, we'd better give our offensive lineman guns to fend off that d-line.

Re: Free Agency and Salary Cap
I agree. And the thought of Justin Tuck, Osi Umenyiora, and Albert Haynesworth on the same defensive line makes me want to go hide under my bed.

Re: Free Agency and Salary Cap
Have we issued any Tenders yet? I thought I saw it posted that we put a 5th round tender on Montgomery, but I haven't seen anything else.

Re: Free Agency and Salary Cap
thanks for the news about Golston. I imagine he'd get the 2nd round tender. Rumor had it teams were interested in him and he'd be a steal for a 6th rounder. If someone wants him, maybe they'll meet us halfway. If we get Haynesworth and keept Monty and Griff, we dont really need him and i'd be happy with a 4th rounder.

Re: Free Agency and Salary Cap
Video plus scroll down for bargain FA's. Should we look at Kevin Burnett?
These potential free agents could come at a bargain price

Re: Free Agency and Salary Cap
I didn't know Indy and the Pats had such little room under the cap.

Re: Free Agency and Salary Cap
Beating the hell out of a Dallas Cowboy center at the line of scrimage and sacking their QB. Just for payback for his getting into trouble for stepping on their linemans head. LOL.
