Thomas and kelly were great picks. They still need time to develop and earn JC trust.

I agree thou if there is a stud OL guy available I would take him since you can always use them with all the injuries and our line is old. I think we need to address the defensive line. With how our secondary is playing, if we had a dominant front line this defense would rock.

I still think it will not be until towards the end of next season unfortunately before we have any feeling on how our top 3 picks pan out.

Dline dline dline...how many years do we have to get dlinemen??? We def could use a tackle to help but i dont think its a necessity. I think our thinnest position right now is at lb...and im going to go out on a limb here and saiy it mght be time for betts to be replaced by a younger change of pace back..we can only go with the same 3 back set for so long

They are not great picks until they become great players on an NFL regular season game field. Let's not start calling any player great until they show it in a regular season game. Not in a practice, remember Tayor Jacobs greatest practice player ever, according to Champ Bailey. Or in a preseason game like Mike Oliphant, great pre season player.

Safety Horton is deserving of praise, he has produce. Cerratto and company finally produced a late round pick that can play. One player. Let's not go over board either.

Ah how many years have we used a top pick on dline? Guess I missed those drafts. I do know we have drafted alot of receivers thou and that has panned out nicely for us.

Well Kelly won't be playing this week either..

Malcolm Kelly took part in the full workout and has recovered from his sprained ankle, but Zorn said the rookie receiver needs more practice and will be among the inactive players Sunday.

Re: When will the rookie WR's make an impact?

I am going to go out on a limb here. But I see Thomas making some big plays in the game. Maybe even scoring a touchdown. Because the Eagles are going to be focusing on Moss. Not saying how much he will play. But I see them fitting him into the game plan for a few plays to stretch the field or maybe a reverse. I just have this feeling someone other than Moss is going to have a good game at WR either ARE or Thomas. I also think they may play Davis on a few situational plays. Just because the eagles arent game planning for them.

I also hope that Selelrs get the opportunity to make a few catches and get a few runs. Not many but enough to make a few first downs and to beat up the eagle lbs and secondary a little bit. But overall I see Cooley having a big game and even with Eagles run defense I think Portis will have another 100 yard game. Also JC running for a few first downs.

We better pick up atleast 2 D-lineman next year. In the early rounds or atleast draft two mid round D-lineman and pick up a fairly young player that has alot of potential and is budding this year. Not an old dried up one that hasn't done anything in 4 years. Like we have been accustomed to doing. I hope we pick up some D-line man badly!!!! That should be the first and second pick. BUt we need D-Lineman and O-line overall and maybe a linebacker.

We need a young explosive DE, our DL is fine with Montgomery, Golston and Alexader. Maybe a replacement for Griffin down the line.

What Thomas needs to learn is keep his hands down. He has already been labeled and everytime he puts his hands up he's gonna get called.

Re: When will the rookie WR's make an impact?

Devin Thomas is slowly taking baby steps with the help of Randy Thomas......he's a little slow but he is getting some time in and making a play or two.

Malcolm will do little OR nothing this year. He so far is like an eggshell, way to fragile for the NFL (I hope this improves with time)! Same thing with our TE Davis he hopefully will be a good developmental player down the road.

As far as impact players..? Jury's out, maybe in the future. Only time will tell.

Yea, that was a good catch, agreed. But I'm not sure what you where watching but the rules are clear and he was penalized for a good reason it was clearly interference and that will be called most every time, unless missed.

Did you happen to catch Randy Thomas having a nice little talk with Devin after the penalty?
